The democrats will follow their past practices and do what they did in history.

Does anyone think they will not? During WW1 Wilson had thousand of Americans of German ancestry interned for being none other than being of German ancestry, some Hutterites, etc. Wilson, was the racist socialist Democrat president. In WW2, FDR had thousands of Americans of Japanese ancestry interned for being..simply Japanese. We all know that FDR was another Democrat. So, does anyone think that they will NOT attempt to put into internment camps those who exercise their liberties and refuse to receive their medical poison? The democrats are the new national socialist party of America. They are following to a tee the former National Socialist party of Germany agenda. Take a long look at the history of that party and how they gained their power. Then let us know if it does not parallel perfectly.

There is no question that the current liberal madness could continue to ramp up until they take lives. 250 million people in the 20th century were murdered by the left.

Some still call them communists. Granted, some are but, the Nazi party relied on the support from private industry, as long as that companies owners supported the party.

Communism, on the other hand, owns EVERYTHING. Pure communism is complete control of everything.

Which is it today? We can call it globalism or whatever we want, but it is in fact pure Nazism. Global Nazism.

Exactly so....

Communism has an appeal to the young and foolish and those who wish to rule a dystopian paradise from the top..

Most children eventually grow up and come to understand that communism cannot work as it is at odds with human nature.

Socialism was Adolf’s goal, so he was following the “gradual” transformation model.

I have lived in the same house since 1964. There will be no internment camps for this country boy.
That would be my hill to die on.

We are having similar discussions in Canada. We also had the same sets of internments of German and Japanese citizens, and it was done by Liberal governments (more of a multi-party government of national unity in WW-I which as you may know was a full four years and change up here.

The Japanese internments were done rather callously for economic advantage as the Japanese Canadians had built up lucrative fishing businesses on the west coast that others coveted.

We are also dealing with the aftermath of large-scale forced movements of native people, in particular kids, over the history of our “democracy.” In a few cases these were quite severe.

Our history with free speech is a little different up here as the strong protections of the First Amendment are represented by more problematic wording in our legislation. Many recent court cases have been mainly about establishing boundaries in this rather uncertain legal atmosphere. I think on the whole our protections are weaker than yours although the same general principles apply.

Of course the main test is what actually happens rather than what is written on pieces of paper. That too is a bit vague. There are a lot of apprehensions among conservative-libertarians up here about the possible unveiling of internment camps and mass arrests but so far no actual substance to any of that, just rumors and unsettling stories. What one person thought might be an internment camp turned out to be a workers’ campground with COVID protocols (workers in the gas pipeline sector we think).

Rumors are also flying about what’s really going on in hospitals and what statistics are real or false.

I would imagine what happens there will happen here and vice versa. These people are all one and the same. As the OP says, this is both fascism and communism in new forms under the heading of globalism. It makes little difference what we call it. Forcible curtailment of personal liberty is the end result and perhaps the goal all along. The important question is, whose goal? Who comes out into the open at some future point to reap the benefits of all this? I think some of our government officials are stooges who don’t fully comprehend what they are taking part in, the sort of people who think they are in charge until somebody they never met takes them out to a field and explains the new reality to them.

Ha. I'm turning 60 in a few months. Cancer. Heart disease. Not suicidal, but I'm ready to go. Once I can't get to the bathroom on my own, I'm checking out.

If the Australians can get away with it so easily, it will be accomplished here in this fractured country even quicker...
Without a whimper from the sheeple...

God bless you, good brother. I’m 63 and have had a good life. Still relatively healthy, although my belief is this wicked government is going to send me to my maker.

Let’s definitely have a cup of heavenly roast on the other side.
