At least two contributors to the far-left CNN network are charging that Americans simply are not smart enough to do their own research and make their own decisions about COVID and its "vaccines," which actually are more like treatments. It is Ramishah Maruf, of CNN Business, who explained, "The problem is that most people simply don't know how to do their own research, especially when it comes to understanding the complexities of medical science." Maruf quoted CNN correspondent Brian Stelter, who said that four words, "Do you own research" are hurting the U.S. pandemic response. Celebrity Nicki "Minaj helped raise doubts about COVID-19 vaccines on Twitter last week she would only get the shots once she'd 'done enough research.' It may seem like a reasonable, even positive, attitude, and it is a favored talking point echoed by many in the right-wing media," the report said.

we haz the internet
“Authoritative sources” are the problem.
Never under any circumstance should you believe anything an American presstitute says, If an American presstitute says the Sun is Shining, GO CHECK for yourself
So they are saying America Frontline Doctors aren’t qualified? Or that they have not done research? Has CNN done any research? YouTube? Facebook?
Censoring debate, which is the central theme of the left, does not equate to “research”
Let me give an example of why you can’t rely on doctors for medical info
I asked a SURGEON if he had ever head of XYZ disease disseminating to the organ that he operates on
He said he had never heard of it
I just shook my head internally and thought..I should have brought the study that indicates when it shows up and disseminates it disseminates to that organ 80% of the time
Next time I see that Dr I will have that study and more in my hand
CNN? You guys get it wrong more than any other news network. Don’t lecture us on anything.
Especially not journalists.
I have a saying for many years: if CNN says it’s raining outside, Ill walk out in shorts and shades.
library, the same ones that need to play the Victrola for their children?
too bad there wasn’t something in every home to look up stuff...
wait, nevermind
:: Has CNN done any research? ::
The extent of CNN’s research is obtaining the daily press releases approved by the CDC and the White House.
Well, since This is new technology never used before and a new vaccine that did not exist until less than a year ago, the library would be useless for research.
The last time I was in a public library, most the book shelves had been replaced with popular movies and video games to check out, there were tables of computers with after-school kids surfing and waiting for working mom to pick them up, and “teens” in the comfy reading chair section, talking loudly and trashing the place.
Never used a public library again.
Has CNN reported on Indian province Uttar Pardish which has cured Covid completely with Ivermectin? 250 million with 260 active cases. Explain that research DNCNN.
It’s probably not even legal to do your own research, that’s what CNN is for. Those who do their own research spread misinformation, and that’s a crime.
Ironic, since their talking heads only read what the teleprompter in front of them is spewing. I doubt that any of these newsreaders have gone to a library in years.
The NIH, CDC, FDA and the White House nursing home can pound sand.
Nah. Thinking cnn couldn’t find a library if dawn lemmon’s life depended on it. And, even the bottom guy in med school is called doctor if he squeaks through.
One does not always have to become an authoritive expert oneself to recognize when the officially official narrative is a bunch of crap. In the current case its easy for even us non biology people to see the authorities have been wrong again and again in their predictions and even in many cases blatantly manipulative of facts to push an agenda. Political activism ruins science.
Unless you have access to a MAJOR university library, you are not going to get your mitts on the last issue of JAMA or Lancet. The local library here in Phoenix is is more likely to have “People”, “USA Today”, “Time” and “American Fisherman”.
Different websites have different levels of credibility. One-offs paraphrasing one-offs are found at every level, and bad headline writing is found everywhere from AP and Reuters down to the Thelma’s Musings Blog.
Worst of all, “reputable” sources contradict themselves and are generally politically/financially compromised with government agencies (CDC/WHO/FDA) among the worst. The data is subject to changing standards of measurement and in some cases dishonest reporting by the medical institutions themselves.
Yesterday dsc posted a great description of part of the problem that easily passes Occam’s Razor that makes a LOT of the bad behavior by ordinarily good people comprehensible.
The fact is that government is imposing all this theatre not only to gain and keep power (if we get a “green” passport, it will never go away, only repurposed and expanded), but to obscure the fact that they do not have good answers that they are willing to implement, but have to impose all sorts of secular sacramentals to show they are “doing something”.
