San Francisco is an enigma. One of the most walkable cities in America yet filled with streets so steep your legs burn; a hub of zero-emission vehicles and electric bikes crisscrossed with the world's last manually operated cable car system; a leftist haven with more free-market billionaires per capita than any other city on Earth.
This complexity may lead to some nuanced questions about the city, but also sometimes people open their phones and ask: “Is San Francisco a country?”
I found the weirdest questions people have been asking Google about the city, seemingly largely informed by a misunderstanding of maps and a campaign of misinformation from right-wing media.
Here goes. [snip]
Is San Francisco better than Los Angeles?
Yes.
Is San Francisco safe?
It’s possible that this question is being asked by confused Fox News viewers with pleasant memories of the beautiful city, now ingesting primetime host Laura Ingraham’s tirade against San Francisco, framing it as a dystopian town in decline. She recently claimed the city was "ruining itself" by building a bike lane in the city.
Is San Francisco Sodom and Gomorrah?
No. The biblical towns of Sodom and Gomorrah were laid to waste by a very angry God due to their human wickedness through divine retribution. San Francisco is quiet lovely, and doing well.
Is San Francisco bike friendly?
Yes, very. A SmartAsset study found it to be the safest city in the country for cyclists.
Is San Francisco dying?
No.

Yes.
“Is San Francisco better than Los Angeles?
Yes.”
In degree of faggotry, that’s a big glitter yes.
Is San Francisco full of queers and communists?
It just smells like it.
Are San Francisco’s streets covered with human poop?
San Francisco is an AIDS patient with a poor prognosis.
“You must be a Fox News viewer! All is well! Repeat, all is well!!”
Yes, very. A SmartAsset study found it to be the safest city in the country for cyclists.
This has to be sarcasm. Has anyone ever ridden a bike in San Francisco or driven a street where there were numerous bicyclists? Between the hills, parked vehicles, idiot drivers and bicyclists, it *is not* a safe place to ride a bicycle.
I just asked Google, “Can you step anywhere in San Francisco without getting s*** on your shoes?
Lol!
Is San Francisco full of $hit?
“Is San Francisco dying?”
Not enough.
In SF, you can live free if you know when to end your daily shop lifting. But do it soon since most stores will eventually leave the city looking like Detroit.
What should we expect from the SF Gate?
It’s clear they have to pretty much defend their city or look
like turncoats to anyone who followa the paper.
If having young women on your streets shot dead, and the perp
gets off, is your idea of a perfect city, then SF is a very
likable place.
If you like raising your kids in an environment where
same sex people are holding hands with and exhibit PDAs,
then SF is your cup of tea.
If you like “S” on your sidewalks, it’s a great place.
If you like people fleeing your city, it’s a great place.
They answered that question in Seattle more than a year ago.

Yep, so are Portland, OR and Seattle
Is the US dying?
What is bizarre is that so many people profess to hate it, the municipal leaders are beyond incompetent, it is insanely expensive, earthquake prone in the extreme, vulnerable to tsunami, and suffers pretty much every malady that a city can suffer and yet more and more people want to live there, as proven by the increasing property values, home sales figures, and rents.
Basic economics says that if it was becoming increasingly undesirable, prices for homes and rents would go down. They are still going up, and they are already incredibly high.
Sure the view is beautiful, but while being a ‘gay mecca’, and/or a decidedly leftist enclave might have been a novelty worth paying for (for some) a decade or two ago, there are many places now with similar cultures.
It’s odd.
