WASHINGTON—The race for Wyoming’s single U.S. House district has pitted two of the biggest names in Republican politics against one another: both of the party’s living former presidents.
Former President George W. Bush’s first campaign event of the 2022 midterms will be a fundraiser to support Rep. Liz Cheney, the Wyoming Republican who is among former President Donald Trump’s top targets to unseat. The fundraiser will be held next month in Dallas, according to a copy of an invitation viewed by The Wall Street Journal.
Ms. Cheney is a daughter of Mr. Bush’s vice president, Dick Cheney, and is one of the most outspoken critics of Mr. Trump, whom she has blamed for instigating the riot in the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, when his supporters attempted to block certification of the 2020 election results.
Her criticism of Mr. Trump and his false claims that his critics stole the election from him led her Republican House colleagues to oust her from party leadership in May.
Mr. Trump endorsed Harriet Hageman, one of Ms. Cheney’s Republican challengers, earlier this month. Mr. Trump has called Ms. Cheney a “warmongering fool” and a “horrible human being.”

Bush, the “domestic enemy” hater, loves Cheney. I’m so shocked. The Wyoming GOP wants nothing to do with her, so naturally W is for her.
That is the best strategy, take over the party from the ground up.
Don’t live in her state but it isn’t just Trump against her.
Cruz actually won many of the western states that have been GOP strongholds for years -- including Wyoming.
Do that at the same time Trump is working from the top down.
If nothing else, we could get the red states straightened out. They may need to join together and fight fedgov or secede. Can’t do that with a bunch of State RINOs.

I daresay that most of us here agree wholeheartedly with you. I certainly do.
Some of this is delusion. The old GOP, aka GOPe, think that they can appeal to what they view as elevated themes and swagger forth with their discredited definition of CONSERVATIVE.
Make no mistake here. CONSERVATIVE means 5 things:
1) Build the Wall
2) Drain the Swamp
3) America First in ALL Things
4) Pro Guns
5) Pro Life
The Bush perspective is NO! It is Lower Taxes, Spend not very much less but more on the Military, Comprehensive Immigration Reform (aka amnesty), and maybe some watered down pro Gun and especially watered down Pro Life.
THEY ARE NOT CONSERVATIVES. They utterly desperately want that to be conservatism so they can use the buzz word conservative, but they are the swamp. They can never embrace Drain The Swamp as conservatism.
THIS is the elevated theme. Pound them with it. They are the Swamp. They are the Swamp.
His little spectacle speech at the 9-11 memorials was the setup for this. He doesn’t care if he gets even 25% of republicans to push for Xhaney. He wants democrats to switch over and line the GOP coffers since the party is in chambers. He really believes that “they” are the “light” and calm of the party. Also, he feels entitled to its ownership.
Just waiting for G. Whore Bush to whore himself out for Beto “el Puta Politico” O’rourke soon.
