Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is being criticized for her use of the term “menstruating persons” as she lashed out at Texas Gov. Greg Abbott over his new six-week abortion ban.
The far-left New York congresswoman called Abbott “deeply ignorant” on Tuesday over the Lone Star State’s new law that prohibits almost all abortions after the six-week mark — including pregnancies that are the result of rape or incest.
“I don’t know if he is familiar with a menstruating person’s body. In fact, I do know that he’s not familiar with a female or menstruating person’s body because if he did, he would know that you don’t have six weeks,” Ocasio-Cortez told CNN’s Anderson Cooper.
“I’m sorry we have to break down Biology 101 on national television, but in case no one has informed him before in his life, six weeks pregnant means two weeks late for your period,'” AOC continued.
“And two weeks late on your period for any person — any person with a menstrual cycle — can happen if you’re stressed, if your diet changes or for really no reason at all. So you don’t have six weeks.”
Her use of the term “menstruating persons” includes transgender and non-binary people who still have their periods.

What’s dumb about all their outrage is that Plan B is available over the counter for anyone over 17 years old. So in the case of rape, take Plan B and there is no need for an abortion.
I have come to the conclusion that AOC will never win a statewide office in New York. She has gone too kooky for moderates to vote for her. She will be like Omar, representing a district of losers.

Plan B IS AN ABORTION....just a chemical one, not a surgical one.
One of these days scientists are going to figure out what causes pregnancy so women would not have to resort to this.
But it’s legal and available OTC in TX. Their outrage is not warranted.

No, the woman is so wrong! A woman is fertile 1/2 way through the monthly cycle. So if she gets pregnant, it will be around time she’s due for her cycle again that she’d be about 6 weeks along.
So either AOC cannot do simple math in her head, or doesn’t understand the menstrual cycle at it’s most basic. She’d have to miss an entire month to be 6 weeks along.
Most woman that are for abortion are the ones you would not want to boink anyways
