Like many employers across the nation, the Washington State Patrol is "on a collision course with a staffing crisis" due to a vaccine mandate that has virtually removed any exceptions.
Some WSP staffers were warned in emails Thursday that Democratic Gov. Jay Inslee's mandate does not allow for religious exemptions, reported Jason Rantz, a talk-host for KTTH radio in Seattle.
Rantz pointed out that for more than a year, troopers have successfully worked without a vaccine, using personal protective gear.
Rantz obtained an internal poll of the State Patrol Troopers Association conducted Aug. 9-17 that found 295 troopers said they would refuse vaccination at the risk of being fired.
In a more general question, 449 troopers said they disagree with mandatory vaccinations. Only 19 said they supported it.

Sadly, they seem to be like some of the epa regs. No law but carry the weight of. If, BIG IF, someone had the money to fight this crap in court.
The troopers replacements are streaming across the border as I type. Likewise, our replacements are being imported from Afghanistan. Nothing this crowd does is an accident.
I keep waiting for vaccine mandates to enter the courts.
There must be exclusion/exception clauses.
Some people have allergic reactions to many vaccines and typically avoid them. Then religion also is important.

I receive a shot for my psoriatic arthritis that screws with my auto immune system so, why would I get this shot? Probably a case of “Too bad.” But still, even if that were not the case, I wouldn’t be lining up to get it. Simply put, I don’t want it. Neither does Mrs rktman. Nothing political. We don’t get flu shots either.
This is really at the heart of the matter. In this country the ‘collective good’ has always been secondary to the rights of the individual. Individual rights ARE what is in the best interests of the collective. This doesn’t exist anywhere else, not the UK or Canada, etc.
This virus is just being used, primarily, to challenge that mindset. It’s trying to shame people into submitting to the collective, otherwise you’re ‘selfish’. Well, imo, it’s repugnant to demand everyone else get the jab because it makes YOU feel safer, that is selfish...and it doesn’t even work.
This is an ultimate test of the Constitution. Can it be suspended because the collective says so? Many are saying ‘yes’. That is a radical departure and a dark, dark, road to go down - straight to Nazi like outcomes. If a ‘health emergency’ can force (even if just via economic coercion) you to take an experimental shot then nothing else is sacred either.
Get ready for the ‘gun crime health crisis’, global vaccine passports, social credit scores, restriction of movement & travel tracking, peaceful protests only for the jabbed, etc.. In France people are being stopped from buying GROCERIES if they can’t prove they’ve been jabbed. Macron has threatened VOTING if not jabbed. Australia has openly declared that you’ll only have freedom if you’re jabbed. All dictated by government. Everything that many have died to defend against, the truly selfish are willing to give away in a heartbeat without even considering a fight.
How quickly it happens.

Not even the Amish have a ban on vaccination - they may not be hot on childhood vaccines, but when they had a measles outbreak a few years ago they got vaccinated fast. And while there may well be some fringe group out there that doesn’t believe in vaccinations and have practiced that belief, they probably number in the low hundreds if that.
Maybe instead of a stone wall mandate, weekly testing at their own expense when a wave rolls through, might be a workaround? Would that be considered reckless behavior for life insurance purposes?
Aren’t they the ones who provide his personal security detail? Why not refuse to provide it?

That puts a very sharp point on the issue, especially when the "emergency" is declared by unelected bureaucrats the likes of Fauci.
BTW, if the vaccine is mandated for uniformed military personal, why doesn't that logically include the Commander-in-Chief, his WH staff, the Judiciary and the Legislative branches as well?
