Portman is retiring because he knew he was going to be primaried, and yes Mandel is going to take his seat. Governor DeWine aka Alfred E. Neuman will be primaried too. How can anyone vote for a person that thinks Covid can tell time. According to that authoritarian DeWine, 10:00pm is when Covid starts its attack and business must close. The reason we don’t have mask mandates and lockdowns in Ohio is because the legislators stripped DeWine’s power. The citizens have had enough. We will not forget any time soon.

Yes, Dale City. The new house we bought in ‘75 was 4 Bdr 2.5Bath split level. In 2011 someone built onto the house with a second story on the single level side and out the back and side. They added 5 Bdr and 1 Bath for a total of 9 Bdr, 3.5 baths.
I was shocked that the local admin. would permit such a project in a residential neighborhood. I might add that the local school is now 63% Hispanic.

Moved to PWC just outside Manassas in 1988 because my dad had to move there for his (private sector, blue collar) job.
PWC wasn’t that good back then.
It’s downright awful now.
In retrospect, moving to PWC for anything other than a guaranteed-for-life Federal job is a terrible idea.

In fatass vindman’s case it’s an undeserved rank.... Hell if he didn’t have the Foreign Area Officer (FAO) designation to protect him, he would have been kicked out of the military during Ranger School.
While he was at Ranger School, he was caught stealing rations from enlisted soldiers. He failed his peer review. And
in everything else the cadre practically dragged him across the finish line.
He allegedly held a company command, yet lacks a Bronze Star. His Purple Heart is from his vehicle being hit by an IED in Iraq, but vindman returned to duty within a few hours.
