Yes, Dale City. The new house we bought in ‘75 was 4 Bdr 2.5Bath split level. In 2011 someone built onto the house with a second story on the single level side and out the back and side. They added 5 Bdr and 1 Bath for a total of 9 Bdr, 3.5 baths.
I was shocked that the local admin. would permit such a project in a residential neighborhood. I might add that the local school is now 63% Hispanic.
Moved to PWC just outside Manassas in 1988 because my dad had to move there for his (private sector, blue collar) job.
PWC wasn’t that good back then.
It’s downright awful now.
In retrospect, moving to PWC for anything other than a guaranteed-for-life Federal job is a terrible idea.
