A spokesperson for the Taliban has cautioned the United States regarding potential future interferences with their culture and treatment of women in Afghanistan.
According to Fox News, Taliban spokesperson Suhail Shaheen has advised the U.S. not to attempt to change or manage any cultural practices that the Taliban implements under an impending regime.
Shaheen told Fox News that women should not be educated without a hijab. After stating that women and girls should be required to wear hijabs in the classroom, the spokesperson aimed to appease any Western worries regarding human rights before making the Taliban’s wishes for autonomy on the world stage clear.
“There will be no issue about women’s rights. No problem about their education, their work,” Shaheen stated. “But we should not be after changing each other’s culture as we are not intending to change your culture, you should not be changing our culture.”
The spokesperson recalled the United States’ 20-year occupation in Afghanistan and made clear that a new era in the country has begun. “We have closed one chapter. For us it was occupation,” he began. “We ended that, we were staging resistance. But now that is closed. it is the past. We have to focus on the future that is better for them and for us.”
Shaheen also gave remarks regarding future diplomacy with the United States as he suggested, “we should be focusing how we can work together in a positive and constructive way which is in the best interest of both sides.”
Shaheen’s comments come off of the heels of a Reuters report that outlined a Taliban plan to implement a new government in Afghanistan. Co-founder of the Taliban, Mullah Abdul Ghani Barada, will be the leader of the government once installed and the son of fellow co-founder, Mullah Mohammad Yaqoob, as...

Right. I shouldn’t change your culture. Like hanging people from a helicopter?
That culture?
“”as we are not intending to change your culture””
Tell that to the idiots elected to Congress from MI and MN and MA and the tens of thousands who will soon be occupying OUR SPACE here in the US. Are they still going to dress according to THEIR custom or are they going to assimilate? We all know the answer to that. We already know Omar hasn’t assimilated...

The West to the Taliban: To the degree you threaten us with your Islamic Jihad and Worldwide Islamic Supremacy, we will do everything to stop you including changing your culture of death.
Keep to yourselves and we won’t bother you. But your aggression demands a response in force that will send you deep into your caves.
Then they should stay the heck out of Christian cultural enclaves; and stop annihilating non-muslim cultures. Muslims are like a bacterial infection, destroying everything around them.
We agree. “They” should not be trying to change OUR culture, either.
Using Afghanistan as a nuclear testing site would be in line with the megaviolent Islamic culture there.
To make substantial changes in that society, you would need to occupy the country with a huge force that could assist a government on both a local and national level, for generations. Think of the massive occupations of Japan and Germany, but there, we were working with nations who had some prior experience of responsible government and advanced cultural ideas. Also they had been shell-shocked to an extreme by the outcome of their ill-considered wars.
We probably had a stable situation within reach in Afghanistan but NATO governments did not want to sustain even the level of commitment they had five to ten years ago, let along increase it, mostly on the basis of cost because with an increase of boots on the ground it was probably going to remain relatively non-lethal as they slowly transformed the society.
Another problem revealed after the fact of this collapse is that while the original president, Hamid Karzai, might have been a good partner, the more recent one appears to have been the classic grifter interested mostly in personal wealth and corruption (although it was a good move for him to take all that cash, better he would have it than the Taliban).
Now the place will revert to being a hostile, backward basket case propped up by Chinese investment possibly, and a fertile breeding ground for terrorism.
We’ll have to compare in ten or twenty years what that costs vs what the deeper occupation would have cost.
Maybe not... But God should.
We demand that they acknowledge that men can get pregnant.

They are actually correct. We should be exterminating it, root and branch.
One of the most disappointing things about living in America today is realizing that he was right all along.
What “culture”? Taliban stepped back into the time just after the stone age.
We gave weapons to savages.
Who gave them to Iranian savages.
