NFL returns social justice helmet decals, end zone stencils

NFL players can wear social justice messages on their helmets again this season and “It Takes All of Us” and “End Racism” will be stenciled in end zones for the second straight year as part of the league’s Inspire Change platform.

The league will also bring back the “Say Their Stories” initiative and for the first time, each team will highlight its social justice work during a regular-season home game in Weeks 17 and 18.

“We are committed to Inspire Change and the social justice work that inspires change for the long-term,” Anna Isaacson, NFL senior vice president of social responsibility, told The Associated Press.

The six messages players can choose from as part of the helmet decal program are: “End Racism,” “Stop Hate,” “It Takes All of Us,” “Black Lives Matter,” “Inspire Change” and “Say Their Stories.”

For the final two weeks of the regular season, all clubs will receive the relevant banners, goal post wraps, stencils, helmet decals and video board graphics. The elements will continue to be featured during playoff games.

“That will provide a unified time frame for us to further amplify all of the work that our clubs are doing and that will lead into the playoffs where Inspire Change will continue to take center stage,” Isaacson said. “The key message for us as the season is starting, we are ramping up again in a big way with our social justice work.”

yeah, I am done with watching professional sports.

once the stadiums are empty and the rating plumet, the players pay will be cut dramatically. So in the end they are shooting themselves in the foot and ending one of the few paths for minorities to get out of poverty.

I’m glad to see the NFL doubling down on this. Considering the number of black players, they never really had a chance at stopping this. At least the FReepers who can’t stop watching will be treated to some in-their-face SJW messaging.

You want any of that stuff to come true? Stop going on about it. People are tired of hearing your whining and lying about every perceived slight. Microaggressions? Really? Give me a break. If you are tough enough to play football you should be able to sack up and move past this woke nonsense. I have zero respect for woketards of any color.

Do you think they would allow decals for the American troops killed in Kabul?

How about “All Lives Matter”? Betcha that won’t be allowed as it no doubt offends the soft underbellies of the cowardly team owners and, of course, the “male” sportscasters.

Re: The NFL doubling down on this.

The NFL has no choice but to double down on the Virtue Whining. The NFL was desperate for anything, including controversy, to attempt to stem the trend of declining viewership that's been going on for two decades. Rule changes, league expansion into new markets, Thursday Night games, games played in Europe, etc. all failed to stop the decline.

They're going to run this sinking ship right to the bottom and really don't care how much racial strife they instigate while squeezing every last buck out of it.

How about adding these decal options: “Ashli Babbit”, “Trump Won”, “Free Speech”, “Proud Boys”, “Masks are BS”, “Democrats Lie”, “America First”, “God Bless America”?
