Reuters on Tuesday released excerpts from last call between Biden and Ghani before the Afghan president fled
They talked for about 14 minutes on July 23 as the Taliban advanced rapidly
Biden told his counterpart of a perception that the fight against the Taliban was not going well
'There is a need, whether it is true or not ... to project a different picture,' he said
Comments are indication Biden knew it was matter of time before Taliban won
In months leading up to withdrawal, Biden predicted pullout would go smoothly
Neither appeared to realize just how badly things would go
Less than four weeks later the Taliban had captured Kabul
'I need not tell you the perception around the world and in parts of Afghanistan, I believe, is that things are not going well in terms of the fight against the Taliban,' Biden said.
'And there is a need, whether it is true or not, there is a need to project a different picture.'

Imagine yourself as the Afghan President and being told to just ‘fake it’. I would have collected up all my loot/cash and been preparing an exit out of the country.
It’s evidence now that Biden now knew on the 23rd of July that the whole thing was going to fall apart. Just on that phonecall alone....it’s an impeachable moment.

Team-One (State Dept, CIA, Intel Community) continue to pummel Team-Two (Biden, WH, Pentagon, NSC) with leaks to media.
After Joe Biden delivered his speech to the nation claiming no-one saw the collapse of the Afghan government coming, the intel group leak the transcript and recording of a July 23rd phone call between Biden and Afghan President Ashraf Ghani showing everything Biden said today was a lie.

(Reuters) – […] Reuters reviewed a transcript of the presidential phone call and has listened to the audio to authenticate the conversation. The materials were provided on condition of anonymity by a source who was not authorized to distribute it.
[…] In much of the call, Biden focused on what he called the Afghan government’s “perception” problem. “I need not tell you the perception around the world and in parts of Afghanistan, I believe, is that things are not going well in terms of the fight against the Taliban,” Biden said. “And there is a need, whether it is true or not, there is a need to project a different picture.”
[…] In a follow-up call later that day that did not include the U.S. president, Biden’s National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, General Mark Milley and U.S. Central Command commander General Frank McKenzie spoke to Ghani. Reuters also obtained a transcript of that call.
In this call, too, an area of focus was the global perception of events on the ground in Afghanistan. Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told Ghani “the perception in the United States, in Europe and the media sort of thing is a narrative of Taliban momentum, and a narrative of Taliban victory. And we need to collectively demonstrate and try to turn that perception, that narrative around.”
“I do not believe time is our friend here. We need to move quickly,” McKenzie added.
A spokesperson for McKenzie declined to comment. A spokesman for Milley did not respond by publication time. (read more)

it does explain why Ghani was on the first helicopter out, instead of on the airwaves rallying his army, and why his entire staff was on the last commercial plane out yelling at the pilot to go go go -

the fact the phone call was even had indicates Biden knew well before the call was even made...
But it is the display of liberal philosophy of controlling the narrative. They tried to control the narrative in Afghanistan with their liberal propaganda and it failed...horrendously.
It also indicates that there was some level of dereliction on the part of Biden and our State Department. There have been indications for months prior to August of warnings of US citizens to leave Afghanistan, yet all the while the powers that are were saying things were fine. Either the messaging was so bad and confusing or the people who got the warnings disregarded it, never thinking we’d get to where we are today.
These citizens now stranded in Afghanistan had warnings for months to leave or get ready to leave. Couple that with whatever rumors were circulating regarding the Taliban and their advancements, one must wonder why passport holding Americans didn’t leave in late July and/or why their companies didn’t make arrangements to get them out earlier.
Yes, there is a lot of fingerpointing to go around. But a citizen living and working in a war torn country, some level of situational awareness is required. Knowing we should have been out by May under Trump’s plan, knowing Biden is not fully in control of his mental faculties, being in country and not aware of the Taliban advancements(even if just conspiracy talk) seems bad.
Yes, this exit of the country was botched. But...if Biden knew at the phone call, there are US citizens who are very likely having the thought, “I should have...” or “I can’t believe my country left me.”

It's noteworthy that the media is full of anti-Biden reports. And that social media has not deplatformed any of it.
Odd that the Lt. Colonel who denounced the military, and the relatives of the killed servicemen, weren't deplatformed, but allowed to amplify their message.
I suspect there is a power struggle within the Deep State, between the Woke Left (who want to leave Afghanistan) vs. the Neocons and Military Private Contractors (who want to stay).

Didn’t they impeach President Trump on an absolutely perfect and noncriminal phone call?
So... this guy is a freaking murdering criminal. Who is calling for his impeachment like the democrats crowed for on every single television station that they could?
To: Gay State Conservative
This is very difficult to say, but Carter, Obozo, and Xiden make the BJClinton-Rodham presidency look really good.
Apparently the leak points to a deep state battle going on between the woke, the state dept & military versus spies/intelligence. Xiden’s pressuring Ghani shows that intelligence informed him that Taliban was advancing. Those who instruct him made sure he kept the surrender to terrorists moving forward. The consequences are major on so many fronts. Starting with .... who can trust the US? And Xiden the clown taunted Trump in the fake debates how damaging Trump’s foreign policy was to our allies.
