A Republican House member wrote a letter Thursday to Vice President Kamala Harris, asking that she seize power under the 25th Amendment.
Rep. Madison Cawthorn, North Carolina Republican, urged Ms. Harris to begin the process of removing President Biden from office as “no longer capable of discharging the duties of his office.”
In the letter, Mr. Cawthorn says Mr. Biden has a “declining mind” and is “not even the Joseph R. Biden of two years ago” and thus cannot oversee such crises as the U.S. withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan.
Mr. Cawthorn urges Ms. Harris to “find your courage” and “do nothing more and nothing less than your duty” by invoking the constitutional amendment that enables the replacement of an incapacitated president.

Can’t say it any better than that. Bravo!!
Yep, he is just an empty shell doing eveything he is told right or wrong. His handlers will go scott free for their bad commands to Biden and Biden will get the blame. Kamala will be a little more cautious, she still has a few brain cells left and will be in self preservation mode. I think she will be more hesitant to just drop the ball or jump on bad advice like this.
Yep... We very well could be better off with her. The lesser of two evils is huge right now... Not sure things could get any worse than what we have now.
Just no !
I want him gone.....but I want her gone too!
They are both feckless toads.
This newly elected congressman ( who replaced Mark Meadows) needs to observe more before announcing his letter writing skills to Kamala
I think we all want them both gone, but we cannot survive another 3 years of this brain dead incompetent fool. It is time to consider the lesser of two evils as an option to slow down this train wreck.
Not a problem when you have RINO traitors who are reliable Rat voters, like Lisa Murkowski and Mitt Romney. And there are others.
You need to invoke the 25th amendment on Barak.
You can rant about that all you want, but you won't get anywhere with it. Nothing was done about it when Obama ran and nothing will be done about it now. The precedent has been set. Harris was born in the US and is a US citizen by birth. The natural born citizen thing will get you nowhere.
It’s been really painful confronting the reality that the Democrats are the Bad Guys and the Republicans are the Bad Guys’ Valets.
The conservative movement can’t really do much about it except to focus much more attention on state and local offices.
I wholeheartedly agree with you. They wanted this shit. Let them get a belly full of it.
She’s even worse… impeach them both and Pelosi as wellp
Can you give examples of why Cawthorne is a RINO?
I do agree Cacklin’ Kamala would be WORSE. I’m just trying to learn more about Madison Cawthorne, who I have admired in the recent past.
Oh please. The Senate isn’t going to grandstand a VP replacement. They would approve whoever POUTS Kamala put forward
Pelosi engineered obamaumao and went through idiotic special motions to “certify” McCain (who was born in Panama Canal US Territory to his Navy Admiral American Father and American Mother... made a big deal about this to “set up” the ruse of obama being born in Hawaii. He wasn’t. And Trump knows this, as does Pompeo.
Nothing is inevitable. Her slimy fingers are ALL over the Afghanistan incompetence and treason. She has zero support even within the demonrat party. Neither of them getting away with this.
Keep your dumb nose out of this, Cawley.
Harris won’t invoke the 25th......they’re not finished yet milking Biden. Plus Harris isn’t about to take on his messes to clean up.
First off, of course nothing would be done about it.
Why? Because not enough people (1) know / understand the history and the requirement and (2) care about it.
That being said, it takes more than being a "citizen" to be President (and VP). Otherwise, Schwarzenegger from CA could be the Commander in Chief. Not all "citizens" are "natural born [1] Citizens"
Furthermore, the only reason she is considered a "citizen" at birth today is due to the bastardization of the 14th Amendment.
If the original intent of the 14th Amendment were followed, the anchor baby wouldn't even be considered a "citizen" at birth because her parents...at the time, were foreigner's in this country, with foreign citizenship and owing foreign allegiance to foreign country's. She, at a minimum, inherited her foreign father's foreign citizenship by birthright. She was born with foreign citizenship and all the ramifications/implications that come with that.
She, or her parents, would have had to apply to become a citizen following the naturalization laws enacted by Congress.
"Conservatives" and Republicans alike LOVE to talk about original intent...until it doesn't fit their needs. It takes effort and will power to enforce our laws, our Constitution, our culture and our history.
Just look at the cluster F going on now in our country. Everything from Afghanistan, to our ~1,900 mile wide welcoming office of a non existent southern border, to the erosion of our rights, to "critical race theory," STOLEN ELECTIONS at the state level and on and on.
It didn't have to evolve this way. But it did, largely, because too many were too bothered to care about our laws, our culture, our history.
The only reason the "natural born citizen thing" will get us nowhere...is because "we" have allowed it.
If precedent always won the day, Dred Scott would still be the "law of the land."
Things can be different, but it will take effort.
Be careful what you wish for! I think I selected June 14 Flag Day as the last of Biden, so he has stayed longer than I expected. He told us at his beginning that he will simply have a health problem and step down, remember that? So this is all a plan that the one-worlders are executing on a predetermined schedule. Biden goes, Harris steps up - the important question is WHO will she choose for VP? Hillary? Susan Rice? I think one of the Obamas.... then Harris should watch her back, and her very life. One way or another I expect B.O. back on stage, soon enough.
