The leftist governing party of the devolved Scottish parliament is calling for its emergency coronavirus powers to be made “permanent”, giving them the ability to shut schools, enforce mask-wearing, and impose lockdowns without time limit.
The Scottish National Party (SNP) — which, despite being in favour of superstate EU membership, exists to campaign for the North of Britain to break away from the United Kingdom — published on Tuesday an announcement for a 12-week public consultation on removing the expiry date of the leftist government’s ability to enforce wide-ranging lockdown measures, also apparently broadening them beyond the scope of dealing with the Chinese coronavirus.

Certainly not to gain herd immunity or control disease spread. Nothing much seems to have been of much effect for either of those two objectives. Lockdowns are counterintuitive to every other form of disease management known to history, and they DO NOT WORK, leaving greater devastation in their wake than simply letting the disease run its course.
This is like trying to solve an arithmetic problem using integral calculus. Wrong tool, wrongly applied, and not relevant to the problem at hand.
Treatment of the disease is an option that is not being tried nearly well enough. By delaying treatment, the disease progress to a point it becomes life-threatening, or is exacerbated by other comorbidities that arise, like some form of pneumonia or other respiratory distress.
There are effective countermeasures, that taken at an early point in the infection, bring the infection under control in a very timely manner, allowing the natural body responses to take over and develop the necessary antibodies. The hydroxychloroquine-zinc-azithromycin protocol has been demonstrated over and over again, as highly effective, and the ivermectin treatment is also highly effective, given soon enough. AND THESE ARE CHEAP!!
However, the use of these measures has been widely disincentivized, to the point that many more deaths are resulting from this policy, almost as if there were already too many people alive in this world today.
I lived and worked in U.K. 1.5 years in the early nineties. When not working, I toured widely around England and Southern Scotland. I’m told by people I worked with then, that the U.K. I saw no longer exists.
