Former President Donald Trump Sunday called on President Biden to “resign in disgrace” over his handling of the Afghanistan withdrawal and other issues.
“It is time for Joe Biden to resign in disgrace for what he has allowed to happen to Afghanistan, along with the tremendous surge in COVID, the Border catastrophe, the destruction of energy independence, and our crippled economy,” the former president wrote in a statement.
The Taliban has rapidly taken control of most of the country as insurgent forces enter the capital city of Kabul, where U.S. troops have been sent to evacuate the embassy.
Mobs of panicked people can be seen at the Kabul airport frantically trying to flee the city on Sunday.
Trump’s administration had negotiated the terms of the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan by May 1. Trump even considered withdrawing troops from the region before leaving office.
When President Biden announced that he planned to fully withdraw troops from Afghanistan by Sept. 11, the 20th anniversary of 9/11, he was slammed by Trump who insisted Biden “keep as close” as possible to his own goal of getting the troops out on May 1.
“I made early withdraw possible by already pulling much of our billions of dollars of equipment out and, more importantly, reducing our military presence to less than 2,000 troops from the 16,000 level that was there (likewise in Iraq, and zero troops in Syria except for the area where we KEPT THE OIL),” he said in an email to supporters in April.
Republicans have blasted Biden for the current crisis in the country, where the U.S. had maintained a presence for 20 years.
Biden was also criticized by former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who told Fox News the situation would not have happened if Trump was still in

I believe it’s speculative to think that the Taliban would have abided by the terms of the agreement negotiated with President Trump. They are an opportunistic opposing force. If they felt breaching the agreement was in their best interests, they would have done so regardless of who was the President.
The real enemy is the woke military academies and the War College
Trump, in 4 years, rsn foreign policy to perfection. The policy is fine but thr problem is Trump was needed to implement it. The way you deliver a message in a negotiation is just as key as the message itself. Trump is a master at this. For everyone that thinks you can have Trump’s policies without Trump you are wrong. Trump’s policies work in large part because of Trump. He had peace breaking out in the middle east and it wasn’t by accident. The response of the media was to say anyone could have done x, y or z but chose not to for strategic reasons. That’s absolute hogwash. Trump did what they couldn’t and if given a chance he’d do it again.
Normally I would agree with your sentiment but because the press is an arm of the Democrat party Americans will never know how bad this is until the highest profile person in opposition shouts it from the rooftop.
100% Rigged. Trump won. No doubt about it!
Unfortunately, things are going to get much worse.
Yes and unfortunately TRUE!
Trump ....what a man
He made me chuckle with that one
Out loud.
Freepers however flawed can manage more than one topic of discussion
I like that idea
President Trump knows what he’s doing. Silence as this fiasco unfolds is the wrong position.
He’s come out earlier with comment. Now is not the time for silence.
Joe isn’t running things at the WH and neither would a President Kamala be running anything at the WH.
Both are inept, so the only difference is what kind of crap sandwich you would prefer as a front. Events are going to happen regardless of who’s President like for example….. China invading Taiwan
“ The Democrat Party Crime Syndicate will get a nice chunk of the ransom money Biden is paying the Taliban.”
Watch for the increase in opium related deaths.
Need we ask WHY Jen Psaki is talking a week off?
We wonder if she ever will be back?
> real enemy is DC, not the Taliban
EXACTLY!!
> If they felt breaching the agreement was in their best
> interests, they would have done so regardless of who was the
> President.
If Donald Trump were acting President, it would NOT be in their best interests to breach the agreement, because of the hell there would be to pay, and not just necessarily military action.
Perhaps. Interesting to speculate.
Disagree - most of the media is still downplaying it if they are even covering it at all. Bringing attention to this is good.
Yes, is she on vacation or has she jumped to the private sector? https://www.globalstrategygroup.com/news/politico-jen-psaki-leaving-white-house/
