Dr. Rochelle Walensky, director of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, issued a clarification statement Friday night after claiming on Fox News’ "Special Report" that the U.S. was "looking into" a possible nationwide vaccine mandate.
It was the latest reversal for the health agency, which has drawn criticism for murky communications regarding the coronavirus and policies and recommendations related to the outbreak.
"To clarify," Walensky wrote on Twitter, "There will be no nationwide mandate. I was referring to mandates by private institutions and portions of the federal government. There will be no federal mandate."

Initial reactions didn’t go over as expected, did it.
Every lawyer in D.C. — even the most radical leftists — probably gave her an earful of crap and told her that a CDC mandate would never stand up to a legal challenge. Not only that, but the divide between states that destroyed themselves with COVID lockdowns and those that have returned to near-normal conditions would only get more stark.
So, we’re getting a mandate.
The everlasting “walking back” of statements by public officials is a symptom of serious societal decline. One possibility in this situation is that the head of the CDC is not intellectually capable of clearly saying what she means to say. In that case, she should hire an assistant who can write correct prose, and then she should read the statement and make no personal comments.
Another possibility is that her earlier remarks were a trial balloon which got negative response in some quarter that matters to her; therefore, she had to pretend, “I didn’t mean it like it sounded.”
Another possibility is that she *feels* it’s important to just say whatever crosses her mind, because that’s speaking her authentic truth or whatever, and she just doesn’t give a hoot about whether what she says is accurate, useful, or just plain dumb.
All of these situations are bad.
Meaning the federal government will cajole, threaten, immediate or simply ask (far, far too many businesses were either salivating at this micromanaging or were most likely pushing this behind the scenes) to work around the Constitution.
Like it does with big tech.
Who would have guessed that our laws could have been so easily subverted.
Amidst all this talk of mandating the jab for the non-vaccinated, there is no guidance for those non-vaccinated persons who have recovered from the Chinese flu and now have immunity. Indeed, some virologists and epidemiologists are stating that such immunity is broader, deeper and longer-lasting than any immunity conferred by the vax.
She needs to fire Fauxcy for enabling this mess.

Since private institutions now are part of federal government, it’s a federal mandate.
I personally dealt with the CDC for four years concerning an emerging disease. They are owned by big pharma, federal government AND health insurance companies including Kiser especially in CA.

It would be a kind of bad look for government thugs to be filmed chasing down blacks to force vaccinate them. Very bad optics. Sort of runaway slave meets Tuskegee Experiment. Even the State Media Complex would have difficulty spinning that.

Under Trump, there would be no Federal mandate - ever. Under the Democrat cabal - absolutely.
The key is going to be individual enforcement. It, hopefully, has to be tax related, and likely will be.

The “societal decline” you describe isn’t a problem of government officials who are disingenuous and/or have their heads up their asses. That may all be true, but the REAL problem is that we have become such a lazy, effeminate, risk-averse society that we expect our government to deal with the kind of sh!t that real men (and women) used to face head-on.
If you really want to know where things stand, just go back and watch the movie “Shane” … and imagine how much differently it would have played out if Joe Starrett was a school teacher and Shane was a social worker.
