The Feds first foray into creating laws “for the health” of the people, started with no smoking on federally owned property. EVERYONE LOVED IT. In fact, they loved it so much that just a few years later, privately owned business establishments were restricted from allowing smoking in their restaurant, bar, or offices. EVERYONE LOVED IT. There wasn’t any concern about the freedom given up and the control of the federal government. The people allowed them to get away with it and here we are today. So it will only be a matter of time before the federal employee vaccine will morph into private businesses and lives. EVERYONE WILL LOVE IT.
Not sure if they are still discussing forcing Fed workers to get it, or they plan announce new policy to as I heard on news.
Only difference is timeframe. I’m not sure how anything can be mandated under the EAU.
My sister-in-law, a very competent Physician’s Assistant with years of experience, was recently told that without the vaccine she was required to take a 14-day UNPAID quarantine after a short trip out of state.
As PA’s (especially good ones) are in high demand these days, she told them where they could shove it.
Understanding their error, they quickly offered her a waiver of hospital policy, which she declined.
Her only challenge now is to decide which job offer to take, and for how much.
I’m a federal employee, and I happen to be vaccinated, but I’m also a manager and worried about how Biden plans to enforce this mandate. I know at least one of my direct reports will decline the vaccine. So she will need regular weekly testing? And “other mitigation” strategies? We aren’t even back to the office yet. None of us. Mitigating how? She’ll have to mask and distance at home, and email me her negative covid test results every week? I hope this is all left to HR—but HR can’t manage their way out of a paper bag so they will be all consumed with this to the exclusion of all else (I predict).
Outrageous. I see the federal employees union is weak here. Interesting that the CA teacher union is strong enough to resist vaccine mandates for CA public school teachers.
The pattern, as it seems to me, is that there is about a 72 hour period between when the ruling cabal is "considering" or "mulling" something, to when they issue an edict. Right now, we are about 24 hours into the "mulling" phase regarding mandated vaccinations for federal workers, so I would expect a policy announcement shortly.

Our rulers own the FDA, and will dispense with the EUA shortly. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't full approval for the various vaccines expected in August?
