This is a vaccine. The mode of immune stimulation is different from most other vaccines, but the result is that it prompts the body’s immune system to attack that specific virus.
It disrupts transmission by having the body kill the virus. Some virus particles might escape before the body can mount a successful defense, but the end result is fewer particles will be released.
It’s biological and chemical - it’s biochemical.
