In January of 2013, in a “Letter to an Eagle Scout,” I responded to the dismay over a proposal by the BSA National Board to remove the membership restriction regarding sexual orientation. In May of that year, the BSA’s national board, under the “leadership” of wealthy corporate types who were completely out of touch with grassroots Scouting values, promoted and implemented a national policy to sponsor homosexuals in Scout troops. It was clear then that the next policy change would be inviting homosexual leaders.
Indeed, in May of 2015, the BSA’s national board announced that it would open its ranks to adult homosexuals, a self-destructive policy that the board officially approved two months later. Of course, it would follow then that in 2017, the BSA’s national board announced that it would open its ranks to “transgendered boys.” ***

So, where does that leave BSA’s grassroots membership across the nation? The BSA’s leftist agenda has resulted in a youth membership drop between 2019 and 2020 of a whopping 43%, from 1.97 million in 2019 to 1.12 million in 2020. And the BSA’s bankruptcy filing records indicate membership is now down to 762,000.

Of course, the decline in the last year has been accelerated by other leftist national BSA policies, including an official letter supporting the Marxist so-called “Black Lives Matter” movement, and now a proposed Eagle-required “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion” merit badge.

It is worse than that. The Left has targeted this organization for a long time. It was their actions that forced the Scouts to accept Gay Scout masters. Their plot to destroy the Scouts worked.
Thank you. The Scout were on their own. And statues of limitation exist for a reason. The feel good resurrection of the statute by a number of states caused this, in many cases for the most mi or actions that cannot be documented decades after the fact

Not exactly. The Boy Scouts WON in the Supreme Court on the homo issue. The corporate executives like Gates, Tillerson and several others opened the BSA to homos and homo leaders completely on their own.
When the BSA started simping for corporate and Mormon money, they also handed over all the decision making.
Anytime you have young people gather for any reason, boy scouts, girl scouts, church groups, priesthood, soon you will have the perverts and predators circling trying to find ways to get to them.
Often they find the best way is to join the group, work themselves into a position of authority, and then it begins. When this happens they blame the group.
It does not help when the government forces these groups to accept the perverts.

All the talk about kids not being able to do certain things, it’d be nice to see someone come up with an alternative.
I bet there are enough parents out there with girls that would love to get them into something that teaches them more than selling cookies(which I’m a complete sucker for). Almost like a Valkyrie, where they learn some legit sh*t. I’m thinking there’d be some participation for that.
As for the guys, get a bunch of retired SERE instructors, mechanics, tradesman, cops, fireman, and start teaching them some legit stuff.
A guy I knew in basic training was an Eagle Scout. His scout master guy was a retired Green Beret. He would tell me that when the other kids were learning how to rub two sticks together, his guy was teaching them how to rappel and how to catch/field dress rabbits.
When the BSA fought to keep the perverts out, they won. When they caved, they lost everything—most especially the respect and trust of parents of boys. Why this organization is still in existence is a mystery to me.
