Pennsylvania’s top election official has decertified the voting machines of a small southern county that disclosed that it had agreed to requests by local Republican lawmakers and allowed a software firm to inspect the machines as part of an “audit” after the 2020 presidential election.

There is no Fulton County, PA. There is something wrong with this article.
The action by Acting Secretary of State Veronica Degraffenreid almost certainly means that Fulton County will have to buy or lease new voting machines.
This seems like it should have a bigger headline. This is Fulton County PA, not Fulton County GA. I am not sure what this means. Anybody have a short background on this?
In May, Fulton County wrote to Degraffenreid to say that, under the supervision of the county’s information technology director, employees of the West Chester-based software company Wake TSI took backups of data on computers used in ballot-counting, “complete hard drive images” of the computers and “complete images” of two thumb drives that had been used on election night to transfer results files.Now that's weird. Fulton County's IT Director authorized a West Chester software company to take images of the ballot counting hard drive and two them drives. Why would he do that? And why did this happen in a county that backed Trump 7:1?As a result of that access, neither Fulton County nor the vendor, Dominion Voting Systems, nor the Department of State “can verify that the impacted components of Fulton County’s leased voting system are safe to use in future elections,” Degraffenreid wrote.
Fewer than 8,000 people in Fulton County voted in the 2020 election, backing Trump by almost seven-to-one over Democrat Joe Biden. Biden went on to win Pennsylvania by more than 80,000 votes.

Easily winnable lawsuit. Third parties working as agents for the PA Legislature assume their legal authority to access the systems.
Just go back to the old voting booths…screw the machines that can be manipulated!

I am of the opinion that the US should create a law to prohibit the import or use of any election product that is manufactured or sold by any forgien company.

By decertifying them, they admit they’re not tamper-proof. They also admit that if they were tampered with, such a crime would not be identifiable.
Yes there is. The PA Turnpike even goes through the northern part of the county.
