Now if Republicans were smart, they would put a massive tax on everyone who proposes taxing something or increasing taxes on existing taxes. Payable immediately upon utterance or go directly to jail until the tax is paid.

If the government starts taxing space flights, then TSA won’t be far behind. Plan on taking off your shoes to get through spaceport security. And buy water inside the secure area at airport orices, with concession fees added on.
Government exists in taking a cut from every productive action people take.
