Roets' country has been rocked by riots that followed the recent arrest of former South African President Jacob Zuma, according to the BBC.
Amid rampant looting, more than 200 people have been killed in the violent protests.
South African President Cyril Ramaphosa said the violence was part of a plan, and not spontaneous.
"It is quite clear that all these incidents of unrest and looting were instigated -- there were people who planned it and co-ordinated it," he said, calling the rioting an effort to wreck democracy.

I recall watching in an NRA infomercial some years back an interview with a South African black leader and he said that he and other black leaders wanted (after the end of the apartheid regime in 1994) to be given the same legal access to firearms that the whites always had had. Instead, the ANC (under Mandela) basically banned guns for all of the citizenry.
So there aren’t any guns available in SA? After all, that usually works when they don’t want guns around. Just look at chiraq. /S

Outside of some US cities, I don't see how South Africa is a valid comparison with the US.
South Africa’s tribal differences among blacks, and resentment against whites, is multiplied by its one-party, Marxist state, a huge and corrupt welfare state, total dependency of the lower classes, and a national ethos of racial and economic victimhood.
Its really just a much larger version of Chicago or Philadelphia.
My county is 98% white. I don’t think we are going to see any of this. I imagine most of the 1.5% black folks have a white parent or grandparent.
50 years ago, I lived in a US city, and had the same thoughts about getting out.
That adds up to 114.10% - I think the White and Hispanic numbers are high.
Our real problem is that young Whites have been trained to think they are Nazis if they vote in their own racial interest - but other racial groups do it at about a 95% rate.

The numbers confusion is probably because of the “hispanics can be of any race” factor. The white percentage of the U.S. population is over 70 percent if white hispanics are counted. It is lower if hispanics are counted separately so that “white” is limited to “non-hispanic white.”
