How Bill Gates and His Foundation Are Driving the Food System — in the Wrong Direction
Uncancelled News ^ | June 18, 2021 | Patriot Editor

Posted on 06/18/2021 3:18:30 PM PDT by E. Pluribus Unum

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has spent nearly US$6 billion over the past 17 years trying to improve agriculture, mainly in Africa. This is a lot of money for an underfunded sector, and, as such, carries great weight. To better understand how the Gates Foundation is shaping the global agriculture agenda, GRAIN analysed all the food and agriculture grants the foundation has made up until 2020. We found that, while the Foundation’s grants focus on African farmers, the vast majority of its funding goes to groups in North America and Europe. The grants are also heavily skewed to technologies developed by research centres and corporations in the North for poor farmers in the South, completely ignoring the knowledge, technologies and biodiversity that these farmers already possess. Also, despite the Foundation’s focus on techno-fixes, much of its grants are given to groups that lobby on behalf of industrial farming and undermine alternatives. This is bad for African farmers and bad for the planet. It is time to pull the plug on the Gates’ outsized influence over global agriculture.

Editor’s Note: This scholarly study was compiled by GRAIN, a small international non-profit organization that works to support small farmers and social movements in their struggles for community-controlled and biodiversity-based food systems. It was edited by Children’s Health Defense and published by Uncanceled News in an effort to help expose what Bill and Melinda Gates are doing to the nation and the world.

I'd give my eye teeth for the opportunity to conduct a welfare check on Mr. Gates.

Africans have been starving for the 45 years that I'm aware of. Those farmers must not possess all that much knowledge. Guess Sally Struthers ate that knowledge.

I put him in the same class as Soros and Bezos as far as their pathological need to fekk up other peoples’ lives.

The first and main target of the eugenicists has always been Blacks. This is why Gates and his ilk are all into African agriculture. The main proposed method of population control has always been mass starvation. They call it “controlling food production”. But their intention is mass murder.

It will be like China, where half the population is starving to death and their numbers are hidden.

A pseudo-grain making inroads in Africa is Amaranth, which can grow in marginal land with little water, but has a huge yield, peaking at a half ton of grain per acre.

“Amaranth” is an invasive weed. And it cross pollinates with many plants.

Some think it is good to bake with. I’ve never tried it. (I’ve been the family baker 45 years, I know how.)

https://ourworld.unu.edu/en/rethinking-a-weed-the-truth-about-amaranth

It makes a million little seeds and is very very hard to control.

It’s worth a look. In Mesoamerica, along with maize, squash, and a few other plants, it rounded out their diets. In Africa, because it will grow in mediocre ground, and its productivity is so high, it holds many prospects.

I gather a flour made of Amaranth blends very well with wheat flour in a 50-50 or even 75-25 combo to produce very tolerable bread. I got some a while back when I also got tapioca flour to make Brazilian Cheese Bread (Pão de Queijo) (mini muffins).
