There have been four wild developments on Wednesday and in recent days which will have major impacts on the future of the Iranian nuclear standoff.
1. Ahmedinejad ‘reveals’ who Mossad recruited within Iranian intelligence to steal nuclear secrets
Former Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has told Iran International that the Mossad recruited the highest-ranking Iranian counter-intelligence official in charge of catching Israeli spies in order to steal the Islamic Republic’s nuclear secrets.
The January 31, 2018, raid altered the region’s geopolitics, leading to the US withdrawing from the JCPOA nuclear deal and setting the International Atomic Energy Agency into a years-long conflict with the Islamic Republic that lasts to this day.
Even earlier this month, Iran was nervous that a new condemnation from the IAEA could undermine its chances of reaching a deal with the US to lift sanctions.
Ahmadinejad did not give any specific names, details or proof, seemingly suggesting that there was no way the Israeli spy agency could have succeeded in such an audacious operation without high-up inside help from Tehran’s own spy agencies. Analysts have long speculated about who in Iran the Mossad recruited in order to find out where the nuclear files were held, exactly how to thwart the security measures that were in place and exactly how to burn into the tough file cabinets to procure the files. Though without evidence, Ahmadinejad’s statement is one of the first semi-specific theories offered by any senior officials.
Iran’s intelligence service dismissed Ahmadinejad as deranged and thought such a characterization to be self-serving, because the former president does have an ax to grind against the agency and the ruling class.
Not only did Ahmadinejad fall out of favor with Iran Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei after a dispute with Iran’s intelligence agency, but the ruling class then disqualified him from running in the last two elections, including one scheduled for June 18. Ahmadinejad’s interview could be a way to get revenge as well as being an attempt to present himself to the Iranian public as a patriot who is being silenced from telling the truth.

4. IAEA chief says no nuclear deal until after June 18 election
Thanks RACPE.
Biden and Putin discussed mutual concerns about Iran. Also the fact that Russia has over a thousand miles of border with China.
So nuclear bombs is a better way than abortion to get rid of Democrats?? Ever hear of fallout?
Yes they are better than planned parenthood. I will take the fallout if CA, IL, NY, MD all forever go Red without DNCities.
And yes I trained for NBC infantry warfare and am aware of the fallout.
Biden said he and Putin discussed the Iran issue. Russia doesn’t want a nuclear Iran on its border either.
“The detection equipment will sound the alarm too late.”
I believe the detection of anything leaving Iran begins at the ports in Iran. We have satellites able to detect radiation as well as track submarines.
That said I really do not believe the Iranians will nuke us or Israel because to do so would mean a total obliteration of their Country. Iranians are not fanatical on a level with Alqaeda, Isis and the like. I don’t believe the Mullahs are looking for their 72 virgins. They want power and control and there will be nothing left for them to control if they decide to go nuclear.
You are behind the times. Israel is not on their own by a very long shot.
The USA is now pretty much irrelevant because there is a coalition dedicated to protecting each other from Iran.
The Members of the Coalition that includes the USA, are Israel, Saudi Arabia. The UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan and Oman. Qatar is probably a member also if the war really starts to generally heat up.
Everything has changed. The Hamas attacks on Israel and the Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia have resulted on kinetic, as in boom, boom, boom explosions and fires within Iran and the destruction and sinking of Iranian vessels at sea
Iran never attacks directly, to uses surrogates. We do not know with certainty who the covert operators are in Iran but we can guess it is not Biden
But when it comes to the "extreme measures" that would certainly be necessary when the mullahs are close to having a nuke the Arabs may quietly support them. They may even provide radar support...but it will be up to the Israeli Air Force to make everything go boom.
I fear Erdogan more for that very reason.
What little I know about Turkey suggests that they’re a jihad asset disguised as a NATO member.
The Iranians will do whatever it takes to destroy Israel AND the USA. If you think differently, you are psychotic.
Maybe you should reread my post
Again you misunderstand.
Flying with the IAF is the UAE air force. That force is equipped with the best planes America has to offer and has trained with the IAF.
Then, there is the Saudi Air Force. The Saudis will play a large role in any air actions that occur.
Backing them up is the USAF with planes in the region and without doubt the USN that has planes everywhere needed.
By constantly discounting the Arabs you expose your ignorance of the reality of today
Oh yes, the only Iraqi plane downed during Saddam’s attempt to take over Kuwait and invade Saudi Arabia was killed by a Saudi F 15 pilot
or at least naive
Erdogan is nuts and has threatened to confiscate US nukes kept at Incirlik air base near Adana, Turkey. We should get them the hell outta there.
True, but you left out “cocaine, more cocaine, and several more hookers.” lol
The new guy? Does he have the balls to do that? Bibi did,, but does the new guy?
Hi.
So what the former Iranian president is saying is that all these facilities lighting off like roman candles, shooting down other countries airlines and sinking ships in the Straits is all a Jewish plot?
Cool.
Go Mossad!
