What Happens When Hedge Funds Buy Up Neighborhoods
A real estate firm estimates ‘that in many of the nation’s top markets, roughly one in every five houses sold is bought by someone who never moves in.’
Other wise it will be like the 1970s...
Went to Home Depot to buy a 2X2X8 feet...
Last time I think I paid 1.87....today 4.75

At least Carter was properly elected. This Resident clown and fellow travelers stole it.

I went in a shoe store a few days to replace a pair of worn out hiking boots. The same pair that cost me $80 at the same store 2 years ago is now priced at $100.
We had a booming, low-inflation economy under Trump, and the media ferociously bashed him 24/7. Dementia Joe is presiding over economic disaster, and it’s all smiles and hugs and interference-running for the delightful old codger. It’s Orwellian. Decades ago we laughed at the old Soviet Unions’ Pravda and Tass and other party organs for their absurd, contrafactual regime-cheering propaganda. And now that’s our reality.

Team Biden transforms into the ‘new Carter administration’ which will quickly blossom into the ‘new Mao administration’.

If we must return to the “Carter years” then, at least bring back the 3-Martini lunch

Yeah, it’s really sad that the NYT and CNN are no more reliable sources for the truth than Pravda and Tass.
See Tagline.

(Our biggest problem by far: most of the news media is agenda driven, not truth driven.)

Soon, everyone (old enough) is going to look back at ‘The Carter Years’ as being pretty dang good by comparison.

Carter was far more competent, and he was a patriot who loved his country.

Just listening to American Top 40, the 1970's to get into the spirit of things although it is from this week in 1974, the Nixon Era vs Carter but still, I remember my parents complaining about inflation then. AT least the music was better then. Still, I deliver food for a major company as a contractor for a living and thus, self employed businessman and these fuel prices are upsetting me the very least. It's like when you try to do the American thing, be your own boss and try to get by on your own business, you get punished for it.
To be fair, at least President Carter made an honest living in the Navy. He just was not up to be President. I really don't think that unlike the barking moonbats we have now, he was not out to change the country too much and I really felt he was not out to destroy the country. It's just that what he did, it went wrong. Towards the end, he started to do the right thing, he at least tried to rescue the hostages in Iran and was starting to play hardball with the USSR and just started to build up the military a little but it was too little, too late. Compare him to Biden today, I'd take Carter in a heartbeat although it is a choice more be default than excellence.
