Sorry to hear this. Appreciate the post.
Austin is another liberal town that hates cops. Bet they’re glad to see them now.
On the TV show “The Office,” Jim and Pam were going to move to Austin on the last episode. More than once, the characters gushed about what a wonderful place it is...

It once was a beautiful town
It now allows ( even though it was recently voted out) homeless to pitch tents and live all over town.
It’s nasty now
Haven’t we read that Austin is taking steps to defund their police department? Oh yes. Yes we have.
This weekend is the Republic of Texas Rally. Motorcyclists, vintage vehicle enthusiasts, and partiers are in Austin and the surrounding area to rde around, eat & drink, and have a good time.
Usually it’s accidents that get all the attention.
It’s not Portland-bad yet. But the Austin City Council is trying hard.
Voters reinstated the camping ban but, as you might expect, the Council are dragging their feet on taking action to clean up the vagrancy, “aggressive panhandling,” and associated criminality.
They’ll probably clean up downtown while making the suburbs bear the brunt of the problem.
Kellie McKenzie is the lone Republican voice-of-reason on the Council. Don Zimmerman also exposed a lot of the Council’s shennanigans not long ago.
Their grip is strong but there may yet be hope in turning it around.
This is troubling. And concerning. We need to have a conversation about root causes.
Liberalism. It's a mental disorder.
Yep, voted out in early May. So far, Austin city council refuses to bring the subject up for discussion. Probably hoping for some judge to throw out the will of the voters once again.
How about stats on other violent crimes?

It’s climate change. /s
I sure hope the lone gunman was wearing a mask! Someone might catch the flu during all of this!
Wish I had a bigger heart when it comes to these things, but when Socialist Democrats bring it on themselves, my Give-A-D@mn is busted. :(
Sounds like a typical weekend in Chicago report....
Austin taken over by Californians....there is not much hope left for the country...Florida could be next...I see a lot of cars from California...
