This year, violent crime across liberal-run Los Angeles County is out of control amid the “defund the police” movement. A private security firm that describes itself as a “subscription law enforcement service” has launched a pilot program in the metro area to fix this.
Motherboard reports Citizen, a neighborhood watch app, partnered with LAPS, or Los Angeles Professional Security, a private security firm, to provide a “subscription law enforcement service” to residents and businesses.
From neighborhood watch app to now a Citizen-branded vehicle driving around Los Angeles, providing security services to clients is a business idea that will likely flourish considering defund the police has crushed Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), unable to manage the metro area as shootings and murders skyrocket so far this year.
On its website, LAPS defines itself as a “subscription law enforcement service.” An internal email observed by Motherboard said the company is “an additional response partner.”
A Citizen spokesperson told Motherboard that “LAPS offers a personal rapid response service that we are testing internally with employees as a small test. For example, if someone would like an escort to walk them home late at night, they can request this service. We have spoken with various partners in designing this pilot project.”
Subscription law enforcement services will probably flourish in liberal-run cities as defunding the police movement is backfiring as these metro areas become more dangerous.

Someone pointed out to me that Blacks in Brazil are self-identified and that because of preferential AA programs, many non-Blacks claim to be so for the benefits.

Nicer areas in poorer nations typically have guards—my Costa Rican daughter-in-law features a guard shack at the corner. But it works because no one cares if the guard roughs up an undesirable and sends him limping on his way.
I doubt if such a system will work here because it seems, in some places, the legal system is on the crook’s side. The legal treatment of the McCloskeys in St. Louis being a prime example

What could go wrong? Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha .... as private security they’re not held to the same standards as actual law enforcement. You have no 4th Amendment protections. You have no protections against many of the things that actual law enforcement cannot do.
Think of the, Omni Consumer Corporatoin, in the movie RoboCop. Private corporation taking over your security and there’s nothing you can do about it.
Of course, the Left loves this, as long as these folks don’t come into their hipster neighborhoods and start messing with them.
The Left went after, successfully, Erik Prince and Blackwater. He was railroaded because he’s a staunch Conservative and he wasn’t under the control of the Left.
Now that the Left will be able to control services like this, with willing and eager folks to fill the ranks, they’ll be perfectly ok with these types of services. As I stated, as long as they’re in CONTROL.
Security, peace and quiet is the objective.

These former SpecOps, when hired, will handle any protection issues their super rich Elites might need 24/7. That will include special preventive action as well as ‘neutralizing’, when needed.
These former special ops in their new areas of action, will operate, react and control/end any issues without any problems from so called local cops/DA’s, mayors and the local mediots in the local media.
The blue city mayors and blue city council members will welcome these Special Ops People, while slashing their city budgets and eliminating their regular police. Their security costs will be minimized and their budgets will be balanced.
How many mayors/governors in Blue States/Cities would get rid of their police forces in a New York minute, if they were not opposed by their elites, who control them????
These former special ops guys might even protect members of Congress from Deploreables if they are needed like on 6 January, this year in our capitol building in DC.
After the cops are defunded, the bloated school budgets will be defunded by the blue cities. Teaching online will be the new standard for KOC* in blue cities. KOC* = Kids of Color.

Then we don’t need the police at all, we will deal with all of our problems.
We don’t need the postal service, either. We will let UPS and FedEx in between 9am and 11am each morning.
We can do without the schools and set up home schools.
We can set up committees to handle any interior issues, so don’t need the courts for anything intra-neighborhood.
So we won’t pay city and school taxes, since we do not use their services.
We need utilities and trash pick up, that’s it.
This is the kind of thing that could get really popular. I’m all for it.
In fact, why are developers not making deals in with counties in unincorporated areas to build subdivisions and set up just this sort of thing?
