President Biden promised to help Palestinians who lost their homes during 11 days of Israeli strikes on Gaza as he offered prayers Friday for a ceasefire to hold.
During a press conference to mark the visit of South Korean President Moon Jae-in, he insisted he remained committed to Israeli security.
But he struck a careful balance between both sides as he announced plans to help Palestinians in Gaza rebuild their lives so long as Hamas militants, who rained rockets on Israel, were not able to rebuild their armaments.

Maybe he should initiate a program similar to the Iran nuclear deal, flip them a pallet of cash, keep Americans off a weapon development inspection team, and give them a few weeks notice before an “inspection”.
Well, maybe all that would not be ‘necessary’ (SloJo’s word, not mine) if the terrorists who are Hamas would stop firing rockets indiscriminately into the sovereign nation that is Israel.

The purpose of any liberal giving money to the Palestinians is to hurt Israel*. But the thing is, liberals are all about form and zero on substance. This is international virtue signaling. It’s like saying, “I’m not really backing Black Lives Matter, but instead I’m giving money to improve Black lives.” Except, as a virtue signal, that doesn’t work. The people who would normally react positively to a virtue signal, by stabbing the “like” button or retweeting, for example, are not going to react the same way to that. A virtue signal has to be obvious and in-your-face honkey!
Biden is trying to have his liberal virtue cake and eat it too. It simply doesn’t work. So, he will be using our tax money...or money they just blinked into existance...to hurt Israel and he won’t even get the liberal strokes for it he’s desperately seeking.
* Having thought through the whole liberals-hate-Israel thing, I’m wondering if it’s really Israel or if any suitable, successful venture would be good enough to focus their ire on. The objective is to break whatever is working. Back in the sixties McDonald’s had Styrofoam containers for their food. It was amazing that you could drive thirty minutes to a restaurant and then drive home and the food was still near the temperature it was at when it came off the grill. Everyone I knew loved it. Articles had been written on the subject. Then, suddenly like a tornado, an unbelievable amount of vitriol was whipped up out of nothing. Articles appeared in the paper saying it took the energy equivalent of nine pounds of coal for McDonald’s to use these miracle food containers. And, McDonald’s caved. Where did all the angst and vitriol come from? It cost money, energy, time on the part of lots of people. Later, something similar happened over McDonald’s use of first one type of frying oil and then another. The attacks seemed unceasing. Then I noticed a strong trend where corporations I had invested in, and therefore read the reports on, had hired big name liberals on their boards. If I recall, Hillary Clinton was on Walmart’s board for a while. I once had the chance to ask a board member who had served on several boards and was then retired. He said, approximately, It’s protection money. People like Hillary Clinton don’t usually attend meetings unless they get some extra inducement beyond the token hundred thousand dollars or whatever the geld is. They are too busy to attend boring business meetings. Their purpose is to deflect the circling liberal attack mobs. If Jessy Jackson has publicly floated that your operation is all white, a chatty personal phone call from Hillary Clinton can easily deflect him to Sears or JC Penny. They all understand the game and respect each other’s territory.
So, it’s probably “nuthin’ personal, Israel” it’s that you aren’t paying the Danegeld.
