He had just cause for that with:
* Maxine Waters’ calls for violence
* alternate juror saying they were afraid of violent BLM members at their home
* the jury hearing about the settlement with the family while the case was ongoing
He had additional justification when the news came out this week that one of the jurors wore a BLM shirt at a rally for the victim’s family. And then “promised” to be neutral.
The judge isn’t going to throw out the verdict he presided over and grant a new trial. But these all may be grounds for appealing the verdict and sentence.
It would be legal malpractice if his attorney didn’t ask for a new trial.
The verdict is not acceptable. The whole trial was a sham.
We cannot have trials where the verdict is determined before the trial.
Just as there wasn’t a court in the land with the courage to examine the theft of a Presidential election there’s not a court in the land with the courage to do what’s right here.
I saw the videos. He’s innocent. He should be completely exonerated. He should sue the crap out of Minneapolis. Every white cop in a black town should quit.
They could retry him once or a dozen times, the verdict will always come back "guilty" of any charge they care to throw at him. His actual guilt or innocence is completely irrelevant -- he is the sacrificial being in this twisted morality play. There is no way on God's Green Earth any jury is going to acquit him any time in the next five years. And we all know this is the case -- we're just kidding ourselves to think otherwise.
Maybe after things settle down (if they do) they can try again. But I still wouldn't bet the rent on it.

There should be a mistrial. Too many leaks, state money given to the family, openly biased jurors, etc. etc.
Biden DOJ already has begun, opened a Civil Rights criminal case vs. Chauvin to ensure he never is released from prison.
Need to move the trial to the burbs or rural area. If they retry in the city, it’ll be the same verdict as these people want their pound of flesh.
A juror (at least one, anyway) lied in voir dire about his participation in blm rallies. That’s a mistrial in my book plus contempt of court of the juror.
And it is still curious to me how the cop can be charged and convicted with three counts of murder on one person.
The trial, in the midst of a rioting mob, reminded me of a common scene in old TV Westerns.
A lynch mob has formed outside the jail, where a notorious horse thief is being held. The hero Sheriff/Marshal stands at the jail-house door, and racks a shotgun. He then says something like: “I’ll shoot anyone who tries to break in and lynch the prisoner. He’s going to get a fair trial first — then we’ll hang him.”
It just doesn’t look like the way I’ve ever imagined a fair trial looks.
He needs jurors who can keep there identity secret. Very major penalty for officials or media that dox them. And if that doxing leads to the death of a juror then manslaughter charges against such media or officials.
He will get one and the results will absolutely be overturned there is no way I’m living hell he committed murder
But they’ve appease the leftist mob and hopefully they can just have the retrial in a different venue under the radar and so they won’t be leftist riots and murder when he does get freed
Plus a request for change of venue was denied...thats a biggy...
