More firearms were sold in April 2021 than in April 2020, setting a new total record for the month.
"NSSF’s Adjusted National Instant Criminal Background of nearly 1.7 million background checks in April was the strongest April on record and is on pace with the background checks that we’ve seen for more than a year. Background checks for firearm sales were nearly one percent higher than April 2020," National Shooting Sports Foundation Public Affairs Director Mark Oliva released in a statement. "Firearm sales remain elevated on two distinct concerns. Americans are buying firearms for concerns for personal safety and for White House and Congressional efforts to limit and deny the ability to purchase certain firearms. The continued gun control statements by President Biden, many of which have been fact-checked and debunked as false, are driving sales."
"April marked 13 months of elevated firearm sales which have ranged between 1.5 million and 2 million each month. Firearm sales spiked in March 2020 and have remained at unprecedented levels since. It’s a remarkable feat of firearm manufacturers to keep pace with this blistering demand," he continued.

I did my part!😎
Why? There’s nothing to shoot out of it.
It's a rich man's sport :)
Long range shooting. Like golf, but for men. And yes, it ain’t cheap these days.
yea but wait until they try to get ammo.
Just continuing on where 0bama’s regime left off.
I wish Smith & Wesson would start to manufacture the No. 3 Schofield in 44 Spcl or 45 Long Colt with four inch barrels. I’d carry a brace of them, concealed. I’d be comfortable with that. I know, I know, don’t care.
My Grandpa carried a blued second model hand ejector .44 Monday thru Saturday. On Sunday he carried the same type pistol except it was nickle plated with ivory grips. It was his Sunday go-to-meeting pistol. He’s buried in Lynch, Kentucky. Grandpa said a gentleman used ivory grips on his dress pistol. Only where’s an sportin’ men (gamblers) carried mother of pearl grips on their guns. Funny thing was my Granpa’s Uncle Elzy (Elisha) was a sporting man and he was shot across a card table for cheating. My Grandma still had the ruffled shirt Elzy was killed in. It was washed, pressed and folded an kept in her hope chest. In 1958, when I was 12, she took me into her bedroom an took that shirt out of her hope chest. Show me the three bullet holes which could of been covered with a playing card and still showed the serum stains. My Grandma looked at me, shook her finger, and said, “P.L., I don’t want you to be no sportin’ man.” So, I’ve stayed this side of the law. Mostly.
Handgun ammo is out there but you will pay dearly for it. I plan to sit on the 9mm ammo I have and whenever prices come back to earth, I'll buy more.
If they don't come down, the range will simply not see me.
Question is who is buying?
I wish everyone wouldn’t be in a buying mood, its’ tough on us reloaders. I had a heck of time just buying 9mm brass.
👍😁
Good stuff! When I started reading for some reason Kentucky started coming to mind!😎

If you've been through this stuff over and over again, you prepare for the uncertainties. The new buyers are the ones getting fleeced by the drought in ammunition. And those that buy ammunition hand-to-mouth are SOL.
True. I have components enough to keep me in .45, .38, .357, .44, .45-70, .30-06 for quite some time. Hard to get primers now, though.
9mm was actually cheaper to buy than to make, up until a couple of years ago. Lol.
