A New York father decided to pull his daughter out of a New York City private school because of the school’s woke race-based curriculum and move to Florida.
“Little children don’t need to feel bad about the color of their skin,” Harvey Goldman told Fox & Friends First on Monday. “That’s what they’re teaching them, to feel bad about who they are.”
“Schools are supposed to be teaching you confidence,” he added. Goldman also said that most parents and even teachers are “scared to say something.”
According to Goldman, the Heschel School in Manhattan is “teaching these young children about having white privilege” and “the murder of George Floyd,” which he noted “wasn’t an established murder” at that point.
Yearly tuition at the school is reportedly $43,000.
Goldman found out about the inappropriate curriculum through a school newsletter.
“I heard about it because I read one of their newsletters that came out,” Goldman explained. “There was a little blurb about changing the curriculum and I questioned it.”
Goldman sent a letter to the school in September, in which he wrote, “First and foremost, neither I, nor my child, have ‘white privilege,’ nor do we need to apologize for it. Suggesting I do is insulting. Suggesting to my 9-year-old child she does is child abuse, not education.”
But the school didn’t care about Goldman’s concerns. “I reached out to the school and they basically told me, ‘Listen, we’re going to be teaching your children this and there is nothing you can do about it,’” Goldman explained.
Heschel administrators even suggested to him that he take his daughter out of the school. And so he did.
Goldman moved to Florida and enrolled his daughter in a public school—but not before making sure critical race theory wasn’t a part of the curriculum.

The arrogance of the #ComDem_Dictators in NY and other states are rewriting U.S. history. One move at a time.
Here is my previous post about this incident, that did not include the move.
NYC parent rips $54G-a-year private Manhattan school over ‘cancerous’ anti-racism policies (Brearley girls school)

And he will probably vote democratic..
Critical race theory in schools isn’t the only brainwashing aspect of today’s liberal leaning schools. The history books leave out the positive actions of conservatives and the criminal activities of the left. I recently was able to see what was in the World History and American History books and the leftist leanings are legion.
Different school. Different father.
NYC is finished, put a fork in it. I grew up there and everyone I ever knew there is gone, the last hold out is my brother who lives on W.48th street mere blocks from Time square, mind blowing location, but he is on his last legs as well. He said the deli on the corner from him got robbed twice and before that he was across the street when some ass started popping off gun shots. He said half his neighbors are gone, every day there are moving trucks on his block and just watch: They have the Mayor election coming up: 100% guaranteed the suckers living there will elect another Marxist and I could care less. It was once a great city, sad to see it go.
Yep. Where are all the other parents complaining?
Wrong. Schools are supposed to be teaching you to think and reason and giving you an education to use.
Mr. Goldman is Jewish. His daughter was going to the Abraham Joshua Heschel School in Manhattan. “We are a unique pluralistic Jewish day school, emphasizing academic excellence as well as awareness of social and communal responsibility through an offering of a superb integrated curriculum of general and Judaic studies.”
I wonder if Mr. Goldman sees the obvious echoes of 1930s Germany where the Jews were scapegoated for no other reason than Hitler needed a common enemy. Now whites are scapegoated and made a convenient enemy for no other reason than skin color. I wonder if he lost family in the Holocaust and sees it happening again.
I also wonder if he will continue to vote for the party that supports (and now mandates) CRT.
He has taken an important first step.
I’m putting my hope in the pendulum theory. It is absolutely dreadful so it must be almost time for the pendulum to change direction. That said my daughter moved home & her condo is up for sale....
I would say he probably doesn't.
But then again, how do YOU judge a person's politics when you know absolutely nothing about them? Does that prescience appear if one lives exclusively within a political bubble?
Hard work. That was the lesson my father taught me. I fought for everything I got.
She made the right decision. There’s no reason to live there, the stress alone is a killer. That’s the reason I moved 10 years ago, my blood pressure was through the roof and my doctor said the stress was eventually going to kill me. Everything is work work work work work money money money money, everyone works 12 plus hour days, everybody is stressed. I use to call it a mini North Korea as Bloomberg use to act like a dictator dictating what we can eat. What shocked the hell out of me was once I moved to the country in Pennsylvania, I could - not - believe how much EASIER life was! All that time I wasted!
Yawn, another chosen person moving to Florida (not that there is anything wrong with chosen people or Florida), as has been happening in large numbers since the 1950s. Anecdotal posts like this are silly.
My first professional job was in NYC. The 80's Best place in the world. I worked on the 79th floor of the WTC
Crazy now
I started my engineering career in the NYC area. I also worked at 2 WTC for a little over a year on the 89th floor (EBASCO). I decided to leave though in 1988. The yuppie mentality was overbearing with employers expecting a certain level of conspicuous consumption to somehow demonstrate ambition. Texas is now home.
I lived and worked in Manhattan 70s 80s part of 90s. It was a wonderful life. If you were young and able to partake in the vibrancy of the city. Enjoyed theatre, restaurants, museums, art shows, opera, ballet, concerts. Its all gone now. Haven’t been back in years. Shame.
and don’t bring your democrat shit with you
and don’t bring your democrat shit with you
Grew up on a farm (my family has owned/operated farms in this country since 1889), we worked hard and were frugal but never suffered and I grew up experiencing freedom from outsiders. This is deep in flyover country and has still got a lot of that attitude.
When I graduated from college I went to work for a privately held wholesale distribution company. Worked for 2 such companies for close to 40 years. Moved away from home in 1971, lived out of state for 25 years. Moved back in 1995.
Spent past 15+ years caring for sick/elderly family members. Lost my father in March, he was 95. I’m 73, have lived a good life and know a lot of very interesting people.
I will die here, when that time comes.
Lost my wife of 47 years in 2018, I remarried in April last year, starting over again. God has blessed me again with a great wife.
We will be moving back to my house at the farm later this year. My grandparents built it in 1946. An addition in th 1970’s. It is a very well built home, I’ve owned it for 10 years, but it has been vacant since my son died 6 years ago. I look forward to being back there.
