Taliban Warns It Will Continue Jihad if Biden Breaks Trump Afghanistan Deadline

A statement from the Afghan jihadist organization the Taliban condemned President Joe Biden on Thursday for delaying the withdrawal of American troops from the country, noting the administration of President Donald Trump agreed to leave the country by May 1, but Biden would keep troops there for another four months.

In remarks on Wednesday, Biden announced that all U.S. troops would leave Afghanistan by September 11, 2021, the 20th anniversary of the al-Qaeda attacks on the American homeland that initially prompted President George W. Bush to invade the country. The Taliban has close ties to al-Qaeda and American intelligence officials believed al-Qaeda head Osama bin Laden may be hiding in Afghanistan at the time; U.S. forces ultimately found him in neighboring Pakistan.

Biden presented the withdrawal as a declaration he believed the war had gone on too long, without openly addressing that, had he not changed the deadline, U.S. troops would have left Afghanistan by May 1. In late 2020, former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo traveled to Doha, Qatar, to meet Taliban leaders in talks that resulted in an agreement: if the Taliban cut ties to international terrorist groups and stopped attacking U.S. forces, America would withdraw its troops by May 1.

He and Secretary of State Antony Blinken have also heavily emphasized that America would retain a strong presence in Afghanistan through civilian programs focused on humanitarian aid and development.

The Taliban’s statement in response to Biden emphasized the fact that, under Trump, America had made binding agreements with the group that included the May exit.

“This decision is a clear violation of the Doha Agreement and non-compliance with its commitments,” the Taliban said, referring to where the deal was brokered.

>> the 20th anniversary of the al-Qaeda attacks on the American homeland that initially prompted President George W. Bush to invade the country.

It was Barack Obama who called Afghanistan the “right war” and increased our presence there.

John Kerry and others have previously said that not all of the Taliban are “bad”. They will be giving the Taliban taxpayer money before this is all over.

There is very little hope that the Afghan government we have supported will be able to retain power. Afghanistan is a nation of tribes that have never gotten along with one another and there is little trust among the “coalition” of these tribes and warlords.

The Taliban is the most powerful “tribe” in Afghanistan and it has been for decades. If they were smart (they generally are not) they would simply wait for us to withdraw, but here we see that they know we are pulling out no matter what so they are already making threats to erode support in the government.

The real question is what this means for “AQ”. Do they come back into Afghanistan and use it as their base of operations or do the Taliban do their own thing?

When did they ever stop “jihading?”

Just keep these troglodytes and their compatriots in Pakistan out of the USA - total travel and immigration ban into the USA.

it should have been the response on Sept. 12, 2001 - but our globalist masters chose open borders, the surveillance state, and endless war instead.

I've been saying for the last few days, that Xiden will be sending more troops to Afghanistan and other places. There will not be a withdrawal. If the Taliban attacks, then you know Xiden has a reason to send more troops. Of course, it is Xiden that broke the agreement that Trump had in place by moving the withdrawal date to 9/11. I suspect this was done with selfish motives, so he could receive credit by bringing troops home. The reality is more than likely that advisors told him he would receive credit, fully knowing the consequences of breaking the agreement with the Taliban and Afghan government. The deep state establishment played Xiden so easily. They want and endless war and they will get an endless war. They are laughing their asses off. So is the rest of the world.

Xiden has always been low-IQ'd. Now he is senile and low-IQ'd. He is a clear threat to our nation.

The Taliban is going to continue jihad, period. Kabul will fall just as Saigon did. Once again we will see helicopters taking off from the roof of the US embassy.

And that will be on George W. Bush. Obama, Trump, and now Biden are all just bit players. Just as Nixon and Ford were back then.

A proper Afghanistan is over my head but I have little confidence that the current administration will do the best thing.

“The essential act of war is destruction, not necessarily of human lives, but of the products of human labour. War is a way of shattering to pieces, or pouring into the stratosphere, or sinking in the depths of the sea, materials which might otherwise be used to make the masses too comfortable, and hence, in the long run, too intelligent.”
― George Orwell, 1984

“...the object of waging a war is always to be in a better position in which to wage another war.”
― George Orwell, 1984

“The war, therefore if we judge it by the standards of previous wars, is merely an imposture. It is like the battles between certain ruminant animals whose horns are incapable of hurting one another. But though it is unreal it is not meaningless. It eats up the surplus of consumable goods, and it helps to preserve the special mental atmosphere that the hierarchical society needs. War, it will be seen, is now a purely internal affair. In the past, the ruling groups of all countries, although they might recognize their common interest and therefore limit the destructiveness of war, did fight against one another, and the victor always plundered the vanquished. In our own day they are not fighting against one another at all. The war is waged by each ruling group against its own subjects, and the object of the war is not to make or prevent conquests of territory, but to keep the structure of society intact. The very word “war,” therefore, has become misleading. It would probably be accurate to say that by becoming continuous war has ceased to exist. The peculiar pressure that is exerted on human beings between the Neolithic Age and the early twentieth century has disappeared and has been replaced by something quite different. The effect would be much the same if the three superstates, instead of fighting one another, should agree to live in perpetual peace, each inviolate within its own boundaries. For in that case each would still be a self-contained universe, freed forever from the sobering influence of external danger. A peace that was truly permanent would be the same as a permanent war. This—although the vast majority of Party members understand it only in a shallower sense—is the inner meaning of the Party slogan: WAR IS PEACE.”
― George Orwell, 1984

“Even the humblest Party member is expected to be competent, industrious, and even intelligent within narrow limits, but it is also necessary that he should be a credulous and ignorant fanatic whose prevailing moods are fear, hatred, adulation, and orgiastic triumph. In other words it is necessary that he should have the mentality appropriate to a state of war. It does not matter whether the war is actually happening, and, since no decisive victory is possible, it does not matter whether the war is going well or badly. All that is needed is that a state of war should exist.”
― George Orwell, 1984

I’d say get out of that hellhole before any more Americans get killed or wounded.

Or, please explain why it’s so important that we stay.

I agree, there has to be endless war to justify more money. I just saw whew the Defense budget had actually gone up, again, under Biden, now at about $800 Billion and counting. Now we have the Ukraine and we will be supplying arms and Advisers to them also. It will never stop.

We’ll never leave Afghanistan.
