There were raised eyebrows in church houses across America when White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki described white evangelical Christians as a bunch of uncultured rednecks.
Psaki made the disparaging comments while explaining how the Biden administration was trying to encourage white evangelicals to take the China Virus vaccine.
“We’ve run PSAs on the ‘Deadliest Catch,’ we’re engaged with NASCAR and Country Music TV,” Psaki told reporters. “We’re looking for a range of ways to get directly connected to white conservative communities."
It sounds as if all Ms. Psaki knows about white conservatives was learned through former President Obama, Mrs. Bill Clinton and Peter Strzok, the disgraced FBI agent.
Not only are we a basket of smelly deplorables who shop at Walmart and cling to our guns and our religion, but apparently we are also a bunch of hayseeds who run around the cotton fields singing 'Cotton-Eye Joe.'
"We won’t always be the best messengers, but we are still trying to meet people where they are, but also empower local organizations," she added.
That’s like saying all black people watch “Good Times,” “Black-ish” and “Madea Goes to Jail.”
Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee said on the Todd Starnes Radio Show that he was really disappointed with Ms. Psaki.
“Why don’t they add ‘Green Acres’ in there or ‘Petticoat Junction’ or ‘The Beverly Hillbillies,’” Huckabee said, tongue-in-cheek.
Huckabee said he’s never seen such cluelessness coming from the White House press briefing room.
“Their idea that only white conservatives sit around watching the ‘Deadliest Catch’ and ‘CMT’ and NASCAR pretty well defines us as a limited cultural species,” Huckabee told Starnes.
Ironically, the Biden administration has gone out of its way to remind Americans not to stereotype or be judgmental.
“What is it when you take an entire group of Americans and you narrowly define them as a bunch of people who only eat at Cracker Barrel and Waffle House,” Huckabee wondered.
It would be like someone suggesting that Ms. Psaki, who was raised in Connecticut, is a woke liberal elitist whose idea of a good time is a poetry slam followed by a hearty kale salad at an organic farm-to-table restaurant.
Huckabee, by the way, was quick to point out that he has nothing against Cracker Barrel or Waffle House.
“Waffle House is my happy place,” he said. “So maybe I fit that bill, but I also know how to go to a dinner where there is a white table cloth. I’m not utterly as narrow as Jen Psaki thinks I must be.”
It’s a fair point the governor makes and one I will continue to ponder as I enjoy a plate of biscuits and gravy, washed down with a Mason jar full of sweet tea — while I watch 'The Andy Griffith Show.'
Hey, Jen, replace Biden with Trump and see how “in touch” we become.
I’ve never watched one of those things. Stereotype much?
These fools are blinded by their ideology and believe their own propaganda.
They look down on white evangelicals because of our faith in what they perceive as a fairy tale.
Meanwhile, Psaki and other Liberals “follow the science” by having unswerving faith that Mother Gaia can only be saved by throwing sacrificial offerings on the altar of Communism.
Their arrogance (and stupidity) knows no bounds.

Holy crap, what a pack of a$$#ats!
How about...
1) Classic Rock stations or XM outlets like Ozzy’s Boneyard. Most 40-60 yo “conservatives” will listen to the Rock or Country music they liked from their younger days, not the garbage hitting the top 40 now...
2) Sporting goods stores.
3) Gun ranges and gun shows — hell, if they set up vax stations at the Dallas Gun Show this weekend, they would probably get a few takers.
4) The baseball stadiums in states where people can watch in person.
NASCAR, CMT, and “Deadliest Catch’? Wow... I’m not even sure I KNOW anyone that voluntarily is into that stuff for entertainment.
Could be worse. At least they apparently think we know how to get identification cards and use the internet.
No kidding...
I wouldn’t care what crazy things they thought about us if they would a) stay the hell away and b) leave us the hell alone.
Such simple concepts that would vastly reduce the amount of tension in our country.
But they can’t help themselves.
It’s all about control. It’s a foreshadow of the endtimes. Christians are basically “rounded up” unless already “taken up”.
I’ve been super conservative all my life and have never watched the Deadliest Catch or anything involving Nascar.
However, I have watched the Ken Burns’ documentary about Country Music multiple times. :) I love that documentary!
The press secretary is insulting and using stereotypes. I have a masters degree from Georgetown, thank you very much. I also am female and live in the SF Bay Area—I don’t fit the stereotype of an evangelical deplorable at all but I am one!
Christianity teaches you to treat other people with respect and dignity . . . do unto others as you would have them do unto you. It is obvious Jen missed those essential lessons of life. Based on her behavior, I will never trust anything she has to say.
While visiting my late wife’s parents who were eastern liberals, my brother- in law at the time who was the Dean of Environmental Sciences at a major university started in about how backwards and uneducated conservatives were. I kept my mouth shut out of politeness in my father in law’s home. We started comparing libraries and books we’d read and I mentioned Dostoevsky and Melville and Solzhenitsyn. He was impressed to find out about my 3000+ volumes and similar tastes and then almost spat out the microbrew beer he was drinking when he found out I was a staunch conservative.
It got strangely quiet after that.
Basically, they are idiots, not very useful, either.
Yeah I don’t watch any of that. Not tractor pulls either. Of course, my monicker here is an ode to Captain Phil but Deadliest Catch went out with the cable 6 or 7 years ago. The show is still on?
