Charlie Kirk to Join 77WABC in Rush Limbaugh’s Old Time Slot

Human Events contributor Charlie Kirk’s radio show will broadcast on Salem Radio Network’s 77WABC and 107.1 FM WLIR from 12-1p.m. EDT—filling the coveted time slot of radio icon, Rush Limbaugh.

The show will begin airing on Monday, April 12^th.

New York’s 77WABC was Limbaugh’s flagship radio station for decades, having aired his nationally syndicated hit show, The Rush Limbaugh Show beginning in August of 1988.

“I am thrilled and honored to take the same time and station where my friend and American hero Rush Limbaugh launched his national radio show in 1988,” said Charlie Kirk. “I am so impressed with what John Catsimatidis has done since he bought this great station, and will commit to doing my part to keep this as one of the top talk stations in America.”

Salem Vice President of Spoken Word Phil Boyce said, “I was fortunate to be the PD at WABC for 14 years. I am thrilled to see WABC once again affirm its status as one of the truly iconic talk stations in the nation, and so blessed to be able to add our newest star Charlie Kirk to their all-star lineup.”

Kirk first joined the Salem Radio Network in the noon to 3 p.m. EDT time slot in October 2020 and has continued to grow his audience on stations across the country.

Limbaugh learned he had stage IV lung cancer in January 2020 and tragically succumbed to the disease on February 17, 2021. The last day he hosted his radio show was February 2, 2021.

I like the new format more than I thought I would. A lot of those snippets are new to me.

I like Glenn, because he’s been ahead of the curve of where society has been going, in terms government subjugation and eventually worldwide subjugation.
He’s not everybody’s cup of tea, but I just mentioned him because he’s the only one out there that could do a three hour national show.

I’ll never forget after the Trump McCain hero spat the Red Eye Guys said Trump was a moron and they will never vote for Trump.

They are good but like to put themselves up on a pedestal too much and they aren’t perfect either. It is also hard to distinguish the two of them

Steven Crowder has the ability to do five hours of radio daily with millions of listeners.

Red Eye Guys are J— offs. They dumped on Trump like crazy after November. Particularly after Trump was getting no traction in the courts. Blaming it all on his “Mud Slinging Tweets”. I turned them off completely after that.

Sorry, it was Ashley St. Clair who was fired for taking a photo with a bunch of people one of whom happened to be Nick Fuentes who is a chief opponent of Charlie Kirk.

Candace Owens was fired because she made a statement in favor of nationalism over globalism, but her statement included a comment regarding Hitler that was misinterpreted as support for Hitler. This was similar to what happened with Gina Carano.

Rush was on 710 WOR in NY since January 2014. WABC was his old home since 1988.

Rush and Hannity left 77WABC for 710WOR in 2013. This guy is replacing an hour of the recently cancelled Curtis Sliwa Show, not Rush’s show.

Big difference.
