There are very significant prosecution evidentiary problems ignored or misrepresented in the mainstream media. which will lead to an even larger explosion of violence if there is a not guilty verdict
I’m not making any predictions. I think the verdict could go either way at this stage, and if I had to put a wager on the table, it’s more likely that there will be a guilty finding on at least one of the counts. There is sufficient evidence, particularly after the prosecution medical expert witnesses, for a jury to find guilt, if the jury believes the prosectution witnesses and discounts whatever contrary experts the defense brings. The 9-minute video is still very powerful evidence. Conversely, there also is enough in dispute for a finding of reasonable doubt.
The jurors also know that the city and much of the nation will explode if there is a ‘not guilty’ verdict, and that they will be doxxed and their lives ruined.
What I can say with confidence is that as with the George Zimmerman trial, the public is being misinformed by the mainstream media that this is an open-and-shut case, and if Chauvin is found not guilty it’s because of systemic racism in society and the judicial system.

A lesser charge will not stop the violence. I doubt a murder conviction would either. The violence is baked in no matter what and the MSM is whipping up the batter. They incorrectly report what is going on in the trial on purpose.
The looting is for free stuff stolen with no consequences. Has to happen you know.
No surprise here. The media is complicit with the dems. They will convict the cop. Then when he doesn’t get the sentence the radicals want, there will be a summer of arson, stealing, assaulting, raping and destroying inner cities. The dems will use that breakdown of the civil order to pass their holy grail: reparations.
” The jury could EASILY find guilt on the lesser charge simply to stop the fires.”
The fires will burn either way, for the same reason as the scorpion in Aesop’s fable.
It’s the gaslight media, not the mainstream media.
I agree. It won’t. But, I could definitely see a jury believing that some kind of conviction would be/might be enough to curb the violence.
AND gun control!
Of course, why are we surprised? The media has been nothing but liars, dishonest, pandering to special interests, reporting fake news, but I digress.
The question will be has the jury found sufficient guilt to quell the howling mob? My prediction is that anything less than guilty on all counts, and anything less than maximum sentences on all counts, the mob will use as justification for more destruction and rioting that will be condoned by the Democrats and suppressed by the media.
MSM is definitely salivating for Big riots Big story.
The trial is not following the Party approved narrative, so then the Party organs (the so called mainstream media) is likely bringing in figurative tanker trucks of gasoline.
You put a 90 lb weight on anyone's neck and see what happens.
There were no neck bruises.
Just another day for this demographic. Don’t worry....Joe will send them more money.
The main commentator on the Chauvin trial at Legal Insurrection, Andrew Branca, had some great commentary on the topic of media malpractice in his Day Six summary:
“STATE’S WITNESS: DR. BRADFORD WANKHEDE LANGENFELD
The day started with the testimony of Dr. Bradford Wankhede Langenfeld, who was the emergency room physician who treated Floyd upon arrival at Hennepin County Medical Center, delivered by ambulance by paramedic Derek Smith and driver.
The testimony of Dr. Langenfeld has followed what has become a common pattern in this case. The (carefully prepared?) state’s witness is carefully questioned by the state to illicit headline worthy quotes, but it’s ultimately revealed on cross-examination that those quoted opinions were based on extremely limited information, lacked context of the full circumstances, and were gutted on cross-examination as a result.
This pattern actually raises a very interesting, and alarming, public policy danger, based on the media’s coverage of this case. From what I’ve seen of media coverage, which for me occurs only when the case recesses during the day and the talking heads pop up during the break, is that the media effectively only covers the direct questioning of the state’s witnesses. As a result, the public only hears the state’s version of the facts.
Well, just like if you only hear one side of any argument, it’s natural for the public to conclude that the state is KILLING IT!!!! in this trial, and that it’s SUPER OBVIOUS!!!! that Chauvin is a RACIST POLICE MURDERER!!!! You NAZI!!!!
There’s a reason that our legal system is adversarial in nature, however, and that’s for the obvious reason that there’s always two sides to every story. It’s only by listening to both sides, with their individual strengths and weaknesses, that one can have an overall informed opinion about what likely happened.
The jury in this trial will get both sides, and hopefully arrive at a verdict based on both sides.
The public, especially the public willing to riot, loot, and arson (arson must be a verb by now, right?), is however hearing only the narrative of guilt in this case. That means that anything other than a guilty verdict can only come as a complete shock to their sense of justice, and therefore a complete justification of any terror they wish to bring to bear to the public generally.
And who is responsible for this? Well, the rioters, looters, and arsonists are responsible for their own conduct, for certain. It’s kind of hard to not also assign blame to the media pouring out the gasoline across the public square and sparking the matches.”
The above from here:
Ellison threw in a poison pill. he threw in the 2nd degree murder charge to make sure there would be a not guilty.
they will burn cities either way. why? because they can.
who is stopping them? i only hear words of encouragement.
Agreed. I think there are three scenarios for riots, which are going to happen regardless.
1. Guilty as charged ..... celebrations in the street that will then turn very violent toward the cops, who won’t do anything thinking they’ll be the next Chauvin, and destruction/looting across the board
2. Guilty on a lesser charge ...... injustice. He’s getting away with it. Violence, looting, destruction
2. Not Guilty ..... take what happened last year and amp it up a bit. ANTIFA, in all its white-liberal-socialist-hipster-progressive-commie glory, has decided to buy guns and show up with them. They’ve walked on dear near anything they’ve been arrested for, if arrested at all. They’re emboldened by the mayors and governors in certain cities/states because they’ve been treated with kid gloves. They’re gonna rile each other up and it’s gonna get ugly. Especially, when Mr/Mizz/CIS SkinnyJeans, with their tattoos, black hoodies and bandanas, start getting smoked.
Me, I’m just gonna kick back and laugh.
Saddest part of all of this, the whole unintended consequences thing, all the liberals that have been voting for these incompetent mayors and Governors are moving out of the cities and destroying their new homes in the ‘burbs and rural areas.
........”The violence is baked in no matter what and the MSM is whipping up the batter”.....
That’s exactly right.
It depends, and always has depended, on whether or not Chauvin has a reasonable jury or an OJ Jury (one that completely disregards the facts).
Good summary here..
The host points out how odd it is that the state will bring in experts to disagree with its own medical examiner
