80% of covid deaths have been 65+.
20% have been under 65. That’s about 100K deaths of younger than 65, which is more for all age groups of a typical flu year.
There is no rule of the universe that says mutations can’t become of a sort that attack the young.
The overall US Covid death count has been declining since January. The slope of that decline is constant, despite literally millions of vaccinations. That slope should have steepened to near vertical. It has not.

President Trump knew what was what. I miss his regular briefings bringing clarity to issues. One issue where he was very clear was that the vaccines are safe and effective, and they're our best path back to normal life. Not true. There are persons under 65 who have serious health issues who are at risk. I saw that myself at work when a middle-aged Hispanic coworker seriously overweight and with diabetes caught the covid. He was airlifted to a big city hospital in critical condition with pneumonia as a side effect. He survived but has lasting side effects. The lesson there is that if you keep yourself reasonably healthy and take the supplements to protect your immune system, then the risk is low.
Having said that, I agree with the rest of your post - they indeed will never give up the COVID tyranny as long as they're in power and will use it to put other controls on our lifestyle and behavior.
Exactly why they give %ages and never raw numbers. Also did you notice that Atlantic’s Covid Tracking Project which included daily hospitalizations shut down on March 7. I wonder why.

Any person with a fever is counted as covid positive because hospitals make more money that way.
A person could have the flu and be counted as covid positive and people do die from the flu-then they are added to the covid death pile.
