In The United States of Captain America, Marvel will have Steve Rogers meet a new Captain America. Aaron Fischer will wield the shield, and he's a gay man inspired by heroes of the queer community! RubyGoldstone | 3/16/2021 Filed Under: "Marvel Comics"
Marvel Comics is celebrating the 80th anniversary of Captain America with a limited series titled The United States of Captain America. Written by Christopher Cantwell with art by Dale Eaglesham, the series will see Steve Rogers teaming up with Captain Americas of the past - Bucky Barnes, Sam Wilson, and John Walker - on a road trip across America to find his stolen shield.
Throughout the group’s journey, it's said that they’ll discover everyday people from all walks of life who’ve taken up the mantle of Captain America to defend their communities, beginning with Aaron Fischer.
"Aaron is inspired by heroes of the queer community: activists, leaders, and everyday folks pushing for a better life," backup writer Joshua Trujillo explains. "He stands for the oppressed, and the forgotten. I hope his debut story resonates with readers, and helps inspire the next generation of heroes." Artist Jan Bazaldua will join him to expand on Fischer's origins.
"I want to thank Editor Alanna Smith and Joshua Trujillo very much for asking me to create Aaron," Bazaldua said. "I really enjoyed designing him, and as a transgender person, I am happy to be able to present an openly gay person who admires Captain America and fights against evil to help those who are almost invisible to society. While I was drawing him, I thought, well, Cap fights against super-powerful beings and saves the world almost always, but Aaron helps those who walk alone in the street with problems that they face every day. I hope people like the end result!"
Marvel Comics has also released a new variant cover by Nick Robles and the original design sheet for Aaron Fischer by Jan Bazaldua. The United States of Captain America arrives on June 2nd.
Over/under 4 issues. Laughably pathetic.
Why not just make him a gay transgender and cover more than one base?
It’s a bird... it’s a plane... it’s FABULOUS MAN!
Misleading headline.
“Throughout the group’s journey, it’s said that they’ll discover everyday people from all walks of life who’ve taken up the mantle of Captain America to defend their communities, ...”
Wow. There will be a massive audience for this cr*pola. *rolls eyes*
Don’t underestimate the Woke/Fag regime. They have an active plan in place to convince us that 8 out of 10 Americans are freaks, and the lamestream media has their backs.
I saw some people roasting this on YouTube. They create these virtue signaling d-list characters, they don’t catch on and are tossed aside eventually. But the point is, he’ll forever be apart of Marvel canon going forward, even if he’s just a weirdo you see once in a blue moon.
This woke agenda goes full speed ahead in entertainment. People who claimed things would get back to ‘normal’ once Trump was ‘gone’ were either foolish or lying.
How can they be forgotten if they WON'T SHUT UP!!
His motto will be
“Now push down really hard and grunt a little.”
Beat me to it!
I know comics. This is a loser. Buy an issue, put it in a plastic bag and it will be worth 20 bucks in a decade.
I would keep an eye on Ebay........
I bet he looks fantastic in tights.
Back in the 60s some creep said that Batman and Robin were gay and it was corrupting the youth of our country. It led to the “Comics Code Authority”
Look for that to be brought up again as some kind of positive angle.
Pravda was the source of that one. It also caused the creation of Batgirl.
It’s a win-win for the other side —
Outcome #1 — Great comic! Really catches on! Many people say “Wow! Homosexuals are awesome! This is my favorite comic!”
Outcome #2 — It fails. Activists say “See? I told you it was a repressive society! They can’t handle diversity! We need more activism so that people stop being filled with such hate!”
Ain’t interested!
Does this say something about the authors or about the audience?
