Haven’t seen one of these “hero” movies in some time. What age are they marketed to? I can’t imagine a kid under 13 cares too much how someone gets off sexually, except for some laughs.

The real outrage started from Dr. Frederic Wertham.
But in no way was the comic censorship an effort to stop communist influence in the comic book industry.
Fair enough. It was an assault on positive male influence on comic book readers, who happened to be boys.
Agree that it wasn’t directly about communism, my response was to the person that said it was Pravda. It wasn’t the Russians. It was our own home grown nutjobs like Wertham.
Well, I don’t think I’ll be picking up a copy. I haven’t read comic books since I was a kid, and I know how to start a fire without wads of paper. So I really have no use for trash like that.
