A man is facing charges after he allegedly stole a 400-pound slide from a playground and mounted it on a bunkbed in his home.
Bushnell sawed off the slide, repainted it, and mounted it on a bunkbed in a child’s bedroom at his mobile home, according to investigators.

Sliding into Gomorrah?
I’m not even mad.
Reparations
He was stealing catalytic converters too.
OK, who told on him?
Look at the poor guy.
This is what happens to you when you go down the slide head first.
How did ‘Florida Man’ wind up in Boston?
A thief, but a pretty cool dad.
Better idea. Find a rich woman who owns stock. Get rid of the ceiling mirror. Put an electric plug near the light. Next? Install a stock market ticker so she can get excited when the market goes up.
First, this didn’t happen in Boston. This was near Pasco, Washington.
Secondly, no one person told on the guy. The police were looking for a person or people who were sawing off catalytic converters from cars. The clues and tips led police to the guy’s home.
When a search warrant was issued to get in the suspect’s house, that’s when a detective found the slide and knew exactly what it was and where the perp got it.
In any case, the kid got his slide taken away, as well as his dad. Crime doesn’t pay.
I know I shouldn’t, but I kinda admire the guy...
Disappointed... this should be a Florida Man story.
I blame it on the invention of cordless power tools.
If the guy had put 1/2 the effort he put in criminality into finding a job, he could have just bought the kid a slide.
“ If the guy had put 1/2 the effort he put in criminality into finding a job, he could have just bought the kid a slide.”
You see these from time to time. Apparently it is also the thrill of stealing.
Pardon my stupidity but WHY does anyone steal catalytic converters ?
That’s what I was saying...
Plenty of money in recycling them, up to $500.00 each. The cops probably found him through the recycler. Most require photo I.D. They may have even “dropped the dime” on him.
Pardon my stupidity but WHY does anyone steal catalytic converters ?
