The U.S. House of Representatives passed universal background check gun control Thursday, criminalizing private gun sales conducted apart from an FBI background check.
The legislation, H.R. 8, sponsored by Rep. Mike Thompson (D-CA), passed by a vote of 227 to 203.

Good luck with enforcing it.
It is a step towards gun confiscation because the DemoNazis will next complain that the UBC is no good without universal registration. And registration ALWAYS precedes confiscation.

“Good luck with enforcing it.”
I know, that’s why whoever gets elected doesn’t matter, right, and people on our side can make ‘statements’ like sitting out the Georgia Runoffs to ‘teach the GOP a lesson’.
By the way, if they want to enforce it, they will. They have the tools for that, whether we like it or not. People here literally have NO CLUE as to what tools the feds have, just by some guy in DC using his computer to destroy the lives of people who don’t comply.
So much for the blue dog democrats representing gun districts theory.
I thought the GOP was only seven Seats shy of the Majority in the House. Why did the Bill Pass by a 24 Vote Margin?
Not much infringing going on, except, you know, the infringing.
Here’s an amendment. Allow the universal background check BUT demand that the model and serial number of the firearm be deleted from the BGC application. After all, isn’t the am to get firearms out of the hands of criminals.
When it comes time to vote again, I better be hearing the republicans talking about how critically important it is to reverse all this gun control legislation. I better not hear a gosh dang word about the tax code. you tell me how reversing gun control laws is your top priority and you show me some evidence that you mean it and I’ll vote for you.
Bingo

Many years ago a friend and I attended a talk given by an NRA lawyer. The lawyer said that there were hundreds of federal gun laws - so many that everyone in the audience has probably broken at least one.
My friend smirked. “No way that applies to me,” he said. The lawyer then ran down a brief list of gun laws. “Oops,” said my friend. “I’m a felon.”
(Of course, breaking the law is one thing. Getting caught is another.)
“Of course, breaking the law is one thing. Getting caught is another.”
Yep, enforcement is totally their discretion, once the laws are in place.
They’ll have a priority list that they’ll run down, but they’ll quickly get to every conservative gun owner. Bank on it.
Any gun control law:
I-WILL-NOT-COMPLY
The right of the people to keep and bear arms SHALL not be infringed...not “should not.” That’s pretty definitive.
Good luck avoiding the sting.
Good luck avoiding the sting.
Because either 8 or 9 scumbag Republicans voted for this travesty. More traitors to primary.
