The area where George Floyd died has become known as George Floyd square. It’s a police no-go zone with barricades in the street that are manned by people who are specifically there prevent police from entering. Like the other autonomous zones that have popped up in Seattle and Atlanta, things at the square have gotten out of control. On Saturday a man was shot and killed inside the area.
Police received reports about 5:45 p.m. Saturday that two people had been shot and were being brought to the barricades at the entrance to the area. The victim was gone by the time officers arrived, police spokesman John Elder said.
Police later learned that the victim had been taken to a hospital, where he died.
A Slate staff writer named Aymann Ismail was in the area when the shooting happened. He heard more than a dozen shots fired, then saw a truck speeding down an alley chased by an angry mob. This is the new normal in George Floyd square.

Even "Obama Blvd" as you enter Singer Island, FL best to approach from the North.
Cops should stay out. Their lives are in danger in these lawless zones. When the feral savages do what they do best, just send in the undertakers.

Offensive. That department is deballed. Can anyone imagine creating such an area in any US city 30 years ago. Cops would have entered just for that very reason.

This does not bode well for America’s future. They will expand these autonomous zones and soon start cartel style roadblocks.

Why should the police go in? They would not be allowed to defend themselves no matter how much they were attacked, and if they did use force, they would be arrested and tried. Hell, no, let these morons have their autonomous, anarchy zone. Blacks in the US have already seceded from the US anyway and made it clear they do not consider themselves to be Americans nor do they believe they have to obey our laws.
Wall off these zones and let nature take it’s course. They will kill each other and starve to death in a week. And I wouldn’t care a bit.
