Taiwan is not asleep at the wheel. They are fully aware of the situation and prepared to deal with it. That being said we are entering a dangerous period. A lot of people don’t see why Taiwan is important to us. They need to study history and geopolitics.
I always thought they’d go on a “charm offensive” and maneuver Taiwan diplomatically to the point where they freely and popularly would want to rejoin with the manland.
I don’t think going on a war footing will get them there. But who knows what they could accomplish while Biden and Harris are in office?
Taiwan was the only country in the world that immediately realized the BS the Mainland was sending out about the China virus.
They immediately locked down their country and have largely protected it from the China virus.

I have worked with with Taiwan military personnel in the past. They are very courageous and dedicated.
