Chaos in Biden's stop-work order on border: 'We just built roads for the cartels'
Washington Times ^ | March 7, 2021 | By Stephen Dinan

President Biden’s decision to stop border wall construction forced crews to put down tools and walk away in the middle of work — and left the border less secure than ever in some places, according to an Arizona sheriff whose county covers 83 miles of the boundary.

There are locations where contractors had built the high-speed roads that are part of the border wall system, and which Border Patrol agents are able to use to patrol the new barrier.

But when the stop-work order came down, they had not built the actual wall yet.

The result: a smugglers’ roadway, where the cartels who control the human traffic across the border are able to use those roads to get people deeper into the U.S., said Sheriff Mark Dannels, in Cochise County, Arizona.

“We just built roads for the cartels,” he said...

Xiden is controlled by his radical-left handlers. They put an E.O. down in front of him and he signs it. I doubt if he even reads it. If he’s not moved out by the mid-terms, I’ll be surprised. The bad part is that Commie-la will be Prez.

If DJT didn’t have Ryan and McConnell working for our enemies the wall would have been built in less than a year.

True enough. He not only had to battle the MSM and the Democrats, he had to fight his own party.

A person of lesser character would have crumbled under the pressure.

The Socialist Rats have already gift-wrapped the November 2022 election themes to the Stupid Party as Three I’s - incompetence, illegals and inflation. Can the Stupid Party win on those? We shall see.

“If DJT didn’t have Ryan and McConnell working for our enemies the wall would have been built in less than a year.”

You can blame George W. Bush for the absence of an effective border wall. In 2006, Congress passed the Secure Fence Act which provided for 700 miles two layer border fencing to be constructed. The Bush administration determined “low level pedestrian fencing” and “virtual fencing” (cameras and sensors) would suffice instead of the high heavy duty fencing Trump was attempting to construct a decade later. However, Bush in his first term was trying to work another amnesty deal, not increase border security. In his second term he chose to be reactive, not proactive and when Congress finally passed the Secure Fencing Act, he chose a token fence, supplemented by electronic devices to detect intrusion, instead of a secure wall designed to prevent entry.

Imagine if Bush had installed 700 miles of secure barrier. Trump could have devoted his efforts to adding to an existing barrier and doing repairs and upgrades to the existing structure where needed.

The Bush virtual fence turned out to boondoggle to Boeing that cost billions of dollars, was plagued with cost overruns, was ineffective and was ultimately scrapped by the Obama administration.

The border is not securely protected because the politicians of both parties, charities receiving billions for the care of “immigrants”, and large corporations do not want a secure border. If a few thousand citizens die every year as a result from drug trafficking, murders, and sex trafficking, so be it.

Bush probably would have been able to get the wall built right after 9-11.

“Bush probably would have been able to get the wall built right after 9-11.”

His goals were amnesty, one-sided “free” trade, endless wards, globalism, putting in place the mechanisms to control the citizens (Patriot Act), and open borders. Sustaining individual liberty for the citizens of the United States was not on his agenda.

Biden is for all intents and purposes pro-cartel. Every move he makes regarding the border supplies the cartels with the what they need in their quest to further corrupt and destroy the United States. This means in a practical sense that he is complicit in drug trafficking, Fentanyl in particular, and HUMAN trafficking, which is either sexual or economic slavery.

From now on, the deaths and egregious human rights violations his stupidity are ALL his, as he has undermined barriers that had greatly limited them. Bring this up when some idiot tells you lies about Trump’s administration.
