His goals were amnesty, one-sided “free” trade, endless wards, globalism, putting in place the mechanisms to control the citizens (Patriot Act), and open borders. Sustaining individual liberty for the citizens of the United States was not on his agenda.

Exactly right. He had the political capital to build a wall, hunt down and remove visa overstayers, round up and remove illegals, and overhaul our immigration system to one based on merit.
Instead of doing those things, he left the border wide open, pushed amnesty multiple times, increased immigration from muslim countries, and gave us the “Patriot Act.”
Jorge was terrible in terms of national sovereignty.
