But why is history so important? In this highly connected age of the Internet of Things, why is it necessary to understand anything that happened before the invention of smartphones?
In a poll conducted by Victims of Communism, only 57% of millennials believe the Declaration of Independence (which made free men out of slaves) better guarantees freedom and equality over the Communist Manifesto (which makes slaves out of free men). Fifteen percent of millennials think "the world would be better off if the Soviet Union still existed." Seventy percent of millennials said they are likely to vote socialist.
The seduction and siren-call of a promised communist utopia is hard to resist, despite the hundreds of millions of dead bodies littering the wayside. (I don't see a stampede to cross the border into North Korea.) When people are ignorant of history, their minds can be filled with whatever propaganda power-mad tyrants (intent on controlling them) can provide. Good becomes evil and evil becomes good.

“We’re here to help you!”
Into the boxcar?
No thanks.

BECAUSE GOVERNMENT RUNS THE SCHOOLS! HA HA HA HA HA HA
Believe it. That's my bracket and they say it without hesitation. But believe it also, they haven't the vaguest idea what they're talking about.
The leaders of the Democrat Party think that hinting at socialism is a no-lose idea for them.
They really don’t want it here because they are already doing so well, but if it comes, well, they’ll still have their mansions and be OK.
Or they can grab their wealth and relocate to another country while they watch the US, a land and people they never loved, burn.
Some folks have seen it up close and personal. Some folks know it’s not a ‘thing’. Any wonder history is erased?
“Some folks have seen it up close and personal.”
Originally from Canadastan, yeah I’ve seen it, lived it etc. Gubmint’ runs your life, heavily taxes your ass etc
“...runs your life...”= RUINS your life. 😋🙌
when I first came to America, I didnt even know you could buy beer at 7-11 or any corner store. In Canadastan, you are forced to buy beer at gubmint’ stores and pay $25 for a 6 pack of booze.
No surprise since they are indoctrinated gimme-dats who want free stuff.
When some of my friends came to the US they kissed the ground - that was before they realized they were in for more of the same and returned to the old country.
Thus “canaDUH”. Glad you’re here.
