What Exactly Is Ted Cruz Supposed To Do About A Snowstorm In His Home State?
~~~
Not go to Cancun, maybe
This is the Left’s way of changing the subject from failed “renewable energy” to “Republicans bad!”
Don’t fall for it.
All hysteria all the time.
All demagoguery all the time.
Anything to distract from pointing out the existential risks of relying on Wind Power.
Ocean shipping remains converted from wind power to fuel combustion. There are good reasons for that.
Joe Biden waits to call until 6 days after. No press. Compare to Katrina.
It was a political blunder, not his first.
It had no real effect on anything on the ground in Texas.
Ted made it worse by obfuscating.
Exactly!
Why? Because Ted Cruz is rated 0% by Planned Parenthood and Handgun Control, Inc. That’s why.
FR is shot through with liberals now.
Well, how about we start with his Presidential aspirations:
If he really wants to be President, perception is key. Add in a totally insane Marxist press that is hostile to anything or anyone even remotely conservative and it should be obvious.
If he truly wants to be President, he has to be a Leader, and probably more important, there has to be a perception that he is a leader.
This bonehead move on his part DID NOT show him to be a Leader, much less a compassionate leader.
You don’t go off to Cancun, because you can, while those you want to lead are suffering. You just don’t do this.
As for me, given this action and his lastest actions stabbing President Trump in the back by blaming him for the Protests/Riots in D.C. on the 6th, I personally wouldn’t vote for him for dog-catcher.
He seems to be a vindictive, self-serving politician (in a bad way).
The federal government is sending emergency assistance to Texas. Cruz could be on the ground, checking if the aid being sent is sufficient and getting to the right places, and lobbying FEMA to improve what they are doing if necessary.
Share his constituents’ pain.
Advocate for them in DC.
I am sure the trip was planned well in advance of the storm, but the optics are really, really bad. Cruz has probably forfeited any further presidential runs.
And the Cruz haters remain on auto-pilot...
I would definitely not have gone to Cancun.
I would have gone to Tahiti or the Virgin Islands.
Note how Republicans are immediately hammered in unison when a natural disaster occurs but Democrats are given a pass.
No media outlet or Democrat has yet demanded Biden do anything.
“What Exactly Is Ted Cruz Supposed To Do About A Snowstorm In His Home State?”
One option was to sit back and read a novel, if not at home (because it’s cold), then at a friend’s house. No one would have known, no one would have cared.
Instead he just sent the Republican image back to what it was before Trump - a bunch of arrogant, selfish, SOBs (even if it wasn’t true, that was the perception by half of the country).
Really smart, Ted.
It is a liberal mindset that they are all small gods and can affect any situation by their mere presence.
Now, take that flaming bunny, and project that onto anyone, in this case Sen. Cruz, and begin the tirade why he hasn’t done “blank”.
He’s supposed to have press conference and posture about how is interfering with local authorities trying to get things done.
One of the things I find so interesting about this and then during the whole time of President Trump’s term.
First question to the Left and the media......Who is responsible for ANYTHING?
When President Trump wanted to do something, the Left/Media/Liberal State Admins said...Stay away, it’s a state matter.
When they needed help due to their incompetence and indifference and knew they were in over their heads, they cried for help(California, always). When that happened, everything was the fault of the federal government and the federal government had to fix everything. But, once it was fixed, the federal government had to leave.
So, what is a US Senator to do, when Texas has a Governor, Lt Governor, County commissions, city councils, public and private sector workers working on things? Is anything that has happened or will happen in Texas the responsibility of a US Senator?
Anything for a headline, I guess. Anything to distract from the increasing evidence that this is yet, another, Green Energy boondoggle that they want to ignore and bury.
