A 36-year-old shop owner in Oakland was arrested and charged Monday with felony assault after intervening in a robbery.
KTVU reports that the man fired four gunshots after struggling in a fight with a robber, who knocked down a woman to steal a camera in her possession. The thief then escaped into a car. No one was hurt.

NEVER, EVER FIRE A WARNING SHOT.
It may not seem logical but to use lethal force in self defense in CA you must be in fear of losing your life. The fact the you fired a warning shot is considered prima facie evidence that you were not.
The cops are unwilling to respond, because...woke. The authorities are only oh-so-willing to let vandalism and looting happen. And, God forbid, a perpetrator is a minority. But don’t you dare defend yourself...
It’s stupid to fire a warning shot. Now you have one less cartridge.
They have to patiently explain to the man that an Asian American firing at a black person is “racist” but some black teens ganging up on an Asian man and beating him brutally (recent story) is not. Just urban teen violence.
They say severe restrictions on ammunition both on supply and sales (with higher prices and restrictions coming) will be the path to gun control by the Left. Do not waste it.

On May 31, the mayor of Chicago, Lori Lightfoot, sent her BLM racists to Cicero to loot and burn Mexican businesses. The Mexicans grabbed weapons, set up barricades and beat the crap out of the BLM racists, chasing them back into Chicago.
Know what happened to the Mexicans? Nothing. The Mexican cops in Cicero cheered on the Mexican citizens and didn’t arrest a single Mexican.
Lori was extremely pissed that her black, racist gang was chased down and beaten bloody. Not a thing she could do except call the Mexicans racists.
Ask me why I am now agnostic about abortion, and now prefer to let the doctors, patients and active supporters face punishment in the afterlife. (It should be obvious that this is a rhetorical question)
