That’s why, not because millions of us will never buy a Jeep again?

And yes, I’ve owned tons of Chrysler Jeep throughout my life.

Jeep’s attempt to hit that crucial Genx hipster off-roading, football-watching demo has hit a snag. Springsteen is the perfect avatar for faux authentic Americana.

It happened in November and he’s preaching to us 3 months later. I’m sure Jeep didn’t know but these lefties have no shame-remember Chappaquiddik?

I’ve never really liked Springsteen; never bought into his purported ‘Hometown’, working-class, persona.

I've been a Jeep fan and owner for decades. I always looked forward to their superbowl ads because they always had a hint of patriotism, frequently some humor, nostalgia and invocations of their wartime heritage.

They have always been in my mind some of the best superbowl ads, right up there with the older Budweiser horse ads. This year's presentation was not only insulting and antithetical to all their prior campaigns, it was qualitatively one of the worst superbowl ads ever.

I'm glad this is blowing up in Jeep's face, though with all the negative push back they received before the news of Springsteen's DWI, there were probably some execs who were relieved that they now have a good excuse to pull the ad altogether.

“It would be inappropriate for us to comment on the details of a matter we have only read about and we cannot substantiate”

If Jeep is uncertain of the details ask the man - he is their talent.

If he doesn’t cooperate with Jeep, fire him. Publicly.

Jeep sounds as dishonest as that man.

Ewe.
Isn’t there a nude/gay beach on Sandy Hook? What was he doing there? When I visited the Coast Guard station there a few decades back, the beach was full of the most disgusting people you can imagine. I assume it has gotten worse. Springsteen does seem gay.

Whoever at Chrysler-Jeep thought using Bruce Springsteen in a high profile Jeep commercial will in all likelihood be fired and held up in MBA schools, going forward, as what not to do … ever.

I wonder who the former marketing genius at Jeep was who went with the stool sample Springscum for it’s ad?

He’s a bit of an idiot, for sure.

But what “political middle “ are they talking about in the ad? The one where we force the entire country to go as far left as possible and then “re-educate” anyone who doesn’t walk in lock-step?

The “middle” simply does not exist! It’s a huge chasm!
