A University of Minnesota student made some pretty egregious allegations in an Instagram post about an interaction he had with campus police during the early morning hours of February 1st.
These allegations were detailed in an alleged synopsis of this interaction between the individual and officers, with this university student proclaiming that the officers were not only rude but exercising some form of racial bias in their endeavors when stopping to speak with him.
And as it turns out, portions of the student’s allegations were either highly embellished, or outright lies – and it was courtesy of the officer’s dash cam that picked up the audio of this interaction that laid to rest the outrageous claims made by the student.

And that’s why every police car should be equipped with a dash cam and every police officer should be wearing a body cam in all interactions with the public. Protects the cops, protects the people they interact with.
Time to charge the yute with making a false charges and lock him up for a while.
Another amusing punk story. However the real damage has been done. Cops no longer do anti crime policing in minority areas and when murders occur in those places only the most perfunctionary of investigations are performed. Do you blame them?

That was one of the politest interactions I have ever seen. I have personally had far, FAR worse interactions with law enforcement, and they weren’t looking for an armed robber who had a similar appearance to me.
And this pussy was “brutalized” by that? He is mentally ill at best, and a racist at worst.

Cameras are good and bad (like most things). Cops used to be able to deal with “frequent law enforcement consumers” and aggressive drunks in a much firmer matter. Now everybody wants to file a lawsuit.
And the school administration’s response? crickets

Hey, he saw sirens going off.
He did brutalize him. He told him he could NOT give him a ride (because they were still looking for the subject). That was obviously racist and brutal.
He saw an opportunity to get some sympathy and maybe fame and fortune.
All false accusers must be given the same penalty that the falsely accused would get. No exceptions.

If universities (and society as a whole) want to take incidents of racial profiling and harassment of minorities seriously, they need to be as aggressive in punishing cases of false accusations as they are in pursuing cases of actual malice.
Every Jussie Smollett who walks away free as bird is just another invitation to actual bigots to write off real incidents of discriminatory behavior as just so much bull-pucky. Unfortunately, too many universities (probably most universities) encourage attitudes of victimization among their minority students, and that, along with an “end justifies the means” philosophy among those of the liberal persuasion leads naturally to the sort of travesty illustrated in this case (and scores of others).
Seems like Badey is quite the wokester, in his lameassed apology posted on Instagram he had to insert an underhanded whataboutism about Black victims of police brutality, as if to maintain his own “street cred”. If you’re gonna be truly remorseful, focus on your own wrongdoing.
