Elected to a second term in November, the Republican had been fighting lung cancer. He becomes the first member of Congress to die from coronavirus.

Rep Ron Wright of Arlington died Sunday night due to COVID-19. He was 67.
His family and spokesperson confirmed Wright’s death due to the coronavirus Monday morning. The Republican congressman, who was reelected in November, also had been battling lung cancer.
Wright is the first member of Congress to die of COVID-19.
“Congressman Wright will be remembered as a constitutional conservative. He was a statesman, not an ideologue,” according to a statement released by Wright’s office. “Ron and Susan dedicated their lives to fighting for individual freedom, Texas values, and above all, the lives of the unborn. As friends, family, and many of his constituents will know, Ron maintained his quick wit and optimism until the very end. Despite years of painful, sometimes debilitating treatment for cancer, Ron never lacked the desire to get up and go to work, to motivate those around him, or to offer fatherly advice.”
According to the statement, Wright had been keeping a vigorous work scheduled before contracting the virus. Two weeks ago Wright and his wife, Susan, were admitted to Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas because of COVID-19 side effects.

Is this a COVID-19 death, or is this a lung cancer death? The usual suspects around here NEVER address something like this. EVER.

Well that depends. Rush has the same cancer and is alive. This guy has it but got coronavirus and died. Rush gets coronavirus and lives then maybe this dude died from cancer. Still unknown though. Plus thought coronavirus was a hoax? Has that changed?

We had a family friend who, sadly, passed away from lung cancer, nearly two decades ago....who also happened to contract a corona virus.
The cancer weakened his immune system such that he was not able to fight off the cold/coronavirus.
But, his cause of death was listed as cancer. Not this China Flu bee esssss.
Probably on chemo that suppresses the immune system. Not uncommon. Similar to the way people don’t actually die of AIDs, but from the opportunistic infections that the body can’t fight.
The blatant distortions continue. Right in front of our faces. No reason they should stop now, when they need the fear-mongering more than ever.

Moving on.......he represents a “swing” district that Trump won about 51% - 48%. It is obviously a must win. We must recruit someone good and get behind him/her with our financial support.
He died of corona virus. He had a comorbidity that made him at risk for severe disease. I seriously doubt someone in end stage CA would run if he was weeks from being deadbolt
The rabid denial is corona virus causing severe illness is sad. This poor guy died of corona virus and is a republican and a conservative flag ship website wants to bury its head in the sand

Statistics need to be updated to reflect: Deaths with pre-existing conditions, Deaths without pre-existing conditions. From what I am reading the distribution will be around 99 to 1.
All the cancer charities need to close their doors.
Cancer has been eradicated.
All the deaths are now classified CV.
