It was. My sister came down from the city to help me load the lawn mower to the back of the pickup. I took it to the lawn mower repair place for a tuneup.

Our county's health department received 300 cases of COVID Vaccine yesterday for distribution Monday. I tried calling to get an appointment for a dose but the lines were busy and they ended up selling out so I'll have to wait for the next set to arrive.

We had a great time at Comanche Lakec yesterday. This was the view:

I was able to catch this picture of Gizmo rolling in the dirt.

We're under a Wind Advisory today for winds gusting to 40 to 50 MPH. Hopefully no power cuts. We're getting winds gusting to 45 as I type this message. We'll see what happens today.

Good idea getting your lawn mower tuned up now and beating the spring rush. You’ll be ready to go when others will be waiting to get their mowers done.

Your weather will be here before much longer since that system will come through here. They mentioned Nashville is expecting winds around 45 mph or more but didn’t say what the rest of us can expect but it’ll probably be close to the same. It’s supposed to start raining here after sunset.

I hope the winds don’t know your power out!

It looks like Gizmo had a grand time at Comanche Lake. He was rolling with gusto. LOL

Yep...COLD is coming. -9 Sunday and Monday. BRRRR! Thankfully I don’t have to go out until Thursday. I will leave the kitchen faucet cracked those nights.

Yeah, that’s what they were saying! Gave me goosebumps when I read it. LOL We don’t hit zero or below often but it does happen.

Good that you don’t have to get out in that kind of cold this time around. That’s just brutally cold.

It’s cold enough now at 19 degrees. The Lake Hood cam was following the ice groomer as it was driven around the lake to smooth the ice. I hope the driver has a good heater in there to keep him warm.
Now the cam is set on the north terminal so we can watch a “string of pearls” as a lot of airplanes come in one after the other. There are several coming in from across the ocean and they’re starting to come in now.

Lots and lots of red eye flights leave here to connect to the start of early morning flights in Seattle. So lots are coming in to carry folks out.

It’s pretty at night when there are 5 or 6 in view, at different distances, coming in. All we can see are the lights strung out across the black sky. The closer the plane is, the brighter its lights. The most we had in view at once tonight was 3. Still pretty.

We didn’t get to see all of them come in tonight. The cam op signed off and put the cam back in “Otto” mode.

We're under a wind advisory, too. So far have had 40mph gusts with sustained right now at about 27mph. Ugh! Hope it doesn't get too bad there and that y'all have fun today! Sorry you missed out on the vax. Maybe next time.
